Don't be lazy. NHL homepage--> Players --> Carey Price --> Game by Game Log --> start counting since the deadline.

Montreal will never play a sufficiently tight and defensive game for Price to match Brodeur in shutouts.

aside from the SJ game, price has been almost flawless. After the SJ game, I can only think of one goal that he would like back. Besides that, he has given the team a chance to win every night since the huet deal.

i dont want to forget halak either. He was stellar in the game against the kings and didnt even look rusty. I have so much confidence in both goalies right now.

Wow I am very lucky to have been at both of the Shuouts this season for Price.

He was amazing in the first 2 periods tonight.

It's just slang to get around typing "the" first. I'm trying to think of other examples (my Japanese students often come to me with questions about this stuff) but I'm too tired to think right now.

I'd be happy with not giving up 30+ shots every 3rd game with Montreal but it doesn't seem to happen.

When we get he offense going our defense suffers i don't get it anymore

They switch sides for 2nd period, right? So Price had to play in front of both nets?

I was one of the ones who questionned the trade, partly because it was throwing a 20 year old kid in a high pressure situation and partly because it was not for great return.

I thought given the return that it was not a deal we had to make...but maybe Huet or his agent said leave me at #1 or trade me, who knows.

I don't think anybody doubted that CP would be the Habs #1 and would have a great career, I just thought it would take a bit longer.

Price played a great game tonight...he looked really sharp. Good to see the Habs pull off such a huge win against the Devils....those were 2 much needed points.

After the way Price played tonight, I have no problem with him being the #1 guy until the season is over....he has earned it. But I hope they give Halak a couple more games before the playoffs so he isn't cold, just in case Price gets hurt or doesn't play well.

Great effort. What I like about Price is how effortless he makes it look because he is positioned well.

Where can I get a shot chart? It did seem like many of the shots were from the outside and that some close chances got blocked. Not trying to take anything away from Price's effort but more curious to see as a reflection of the defence.

The best stat from the game last night - 3rd period shots: Habs 15, NJ 5. Love it. Reminds me of the 80s when the Habs got a lead and then shut the door on the opposition. (led by a certain G.Carbonneau and B.Gainey)

I have mentioned it numerous times on this board , " we go as far as our kids take us ". And with the Kosty boys, Laps, Lats, Obyrne , Price, Komi, etc mission is accomplished .

Kudos to Gainey , at some point you make a gut decision and do it , and he did. There was no right/wrong answer here . Like I said there was no way Huet was back with us at 33, and making 4+ mil .

true but he only protects one at a time, not both.

Oh-oh... I feel Mr Gazoo has made a come back

How do you know? Basing yourself on this season only is ridiculous. With all the good dmen being molded in the organization, you can't say it won't happen. Also, I don't know if you realize, but New Jersey's system was based on Montreal's previous success...

I guess Mr Gazoo knows best...
