I just read your blog about the Buffalo game and the "refereering" that went on during the game. I just have one disagreement with you. You say Avery could have been called for cross-checking when he leveled Paetsch and then assisted on a Jagr goal. However that was a perfectly clean shoulder-to-shoulder hit and nowhere close to a penalty.

The blog does look good though.

Thanks for the comments folks. I really hope that you'll come and check out the site and even leave some comments (I'm trying to impress the Web editor of the site).

MasonRanger, after reviewing Avery's hit again tonight, I realized that it really was a clean check. It just looked bad because Paetsch was so off balance to begin with. So, thanks for pointing that out to me!

That's definitely a blog worth checking out. I just read a few of the entries and came away impressed.

I have also been thinking about a THN subscription but I had heard lately that the magazine is very Canadian biased and never gives the Rangers any credit (does anybody?) so I was turned off. Can anyone provide a review of THN lately? I was a subscriber about 10-15 years ago but once the Rangers took a nose dive in 1997-on I let it run out.

Sorry folks. I didn't mean to have my last post up twice. Is there any way someone could get rid of one of them for me?

Thanks!

Like Pat, thanks for the positive responses. As far as THN goes, I continue to subscribe as they have updated their presentation to a magazine style and have a lot of nice commentary pieces. As far as Ranger stuff goes, Larry Brooks does there coverage and (while I am not a fan of his) does a decent job. Their trend pieces are also improving

I left HockeyBuzz because there are many out there in the industry that think the site is an absolute joke and since I want to someday be a professional hockey writer/blogger (I will be 25 years old on March 31) some day, I figured it would be in my best interest to not associate with the site anymore.
You know, that's exactly what I think every time I hear Eklund on Home Ice.
