The roster of the SCB is fine, I don't see much need for change. It's just a shame that such high-class player like Gamache or Abid aren't able to play their best in the playoffs.

By the way, I'm very happy for Aebischer that he can play good hockey, he did so much for Swiss hockey and just didn't get the respect for his efforts in the last few years.

What a game between Davos and Lugano, with Lugano getting their arses kicked badly
Nice to see my favorite team win against the team I hate the most

Sad end to a great serie. As Del Curto said after the game, it would have been better to end it in overtime. Lugano paid their effort from earlier, they were dead tired tonight and Davos' better depth eventually was the difference maker.

I just hope Lugano will correct some mistake and do better next year, but looking at the last three seasons I seriously have some doubts.

I agree, that would have been a more appropriate end to this series. Nevertheless it was a nice game to watch.

I especially enjoyed seeing the next generation of swiss hockey players getting some quality ice time.

What about Peter Guggisberg? Will he ever play in the NHL?

Yeah bad ending
Anyway i'm happy with the team effort, the last year we had a terrible season, and i think we are now again on rail to become a good contender in the next years. We lack too much on scoring depth, and our defensive play is not consistent. With a new n°1 center and hopefully Thoresen, with Hirschi and Domenichelli healthy from the start, and a stable coaching, nothing is impossible

My favourite to win is now Kloten.

I don't know. In the last year there were rumors about Forster, Bezina, Ambühl, Sprunger, Wick and Josi having contact with NHL organizations respectively planning to play in the NHL next season.

I never heard a such thing about Guggisberg. He certainly has some interesting skills and his stats in the playoffs right now are pretty good [1]. On the other side some people (the hockeysfuture guys for example) don't seem to be too keen on him [2]. I don't follow Davos that closely, so I can't say anything on his development.

Kloten is going to make it !!

Don't bet with me, unless you want to make some free donations.

Yeah I guess when they are playing like in the other 2 matchups, they will beat Fribourg or Davos. They're hot at home and the team is hungry for the cup. Final series will start next tuesday.

Yes, great game tonight. I just wish the refs would have had the guts to call the penalties against Davos late in the game, what they got away with was ridiculous (and I'm not even a Kloten fan).

Did Davos make the break by beating the flyers 2-1 in Kloten !!!

i hope not but possibly. Davos is difficult to beat in Davos.

The game was less intense than the others ... (IMHO)

Kloten dominated the game but could not score. Davos with a clever defensive game and lucky in the end. Kloten has to win on Tuesday in Davos.

Exactly!!!

We can also applause Reto Berra who played welll (+ had a good friend in the name of poste who helped 2 or3 times) and to Del Curto for the courage to put Berra in the net in game 3 of the final serie when Berra played so little in the regular season, leaving Genoni the almost monopol of the spot.

GoFlyersGo
Jenni is a machine and wick is a peste.

I'm not conviced yet. I wouldn't put it past Davos to come back and beat the Flyers in Kloten tonight. They are unpredictable. Is it true that Forster won't play tonight? He had some scenes in the last matches were he looked a kind of lost. Is he hurt?

Davos promptly won yesterday and now has the chance to win the championship tomorrow on home ice.

I wouldn't burry Kloten now. It is true that Davos has a nice chance, But last time they played in Davos everybody was expecting them to take the lead and we had a serious 4-0 for the Flyers so who knows.

Whoever wins, hopefully it will be a nice game.

Congrats to Davos!
I wonder how Davos will look next season. There are going to be some big changes in the roster. I hope they are able to compete in the National League A and of course in the Champions Hockey League

Congrats to Kloten too! They had a very good season. I hope they can keep up the good work next year.

The swiss roster for the world championships has been announced. Once again, Krueger said he would give a chance to everyone and once again, he did not. Guys like Guggisberg (amazing speed, fastest in the Swiss Elite League IMO) and Jenni (who had an incredible season, one of the true swiss goal scorers) didn't get selected. Riesen and Von Arx as we all know don't enter in the coaches plans anymore (Salt Lake City scandal).

It's a disgrace. Switzerland could have guys like Riesen, Von Arx, Jenni, Guggisberg, Burgler, etc.... but no, instead we have guys like Paterlini and Ziegler

And here we go again... First the world championship roster has not been announced yet, and then is it really necessary to complain every single year since 2002 about Von Arx not being part of the team when he decided all by himself to stay out of the national team (same for Riesen)? I would like to see Guggisberg and Jenni get a chance too, but let's be realistic, there are only 12 spots for forwards. Would you replace Ziegler, a big tough defensive center, with Guggisberg, a small speedy offensive winger? Would you drop Paterlini, one of the best forwards last year, who just played one of the best season of his career?

Face it, Switzerland won't be a favorite to reach the last four based on talent, they need perfect team play if they want to get there.

I agree with you, Von Arx and Riesen are "star" players that don't want to play outside their sistem. Laziness?
The only thing i disagree is Paterlini, he played very well (i've seen all the games when Lugano played at the Resega) but only before the new contract with Rapperswill, then he began to sleep. I hope the national team awake his talent.
