I will be in Rhode Island tomorrow night visiting some friends at college and HIGHLY doubt they will have MSG, so I won't be able to watch this game or the Tampa Bay game. Here's hoping that they don't fall into a trap, that they play the game they've been playing and have some success. There's no excuses at this point of the year, you CAN NOT take any teams lightly.

Lets go Rangers. We can do it. I believe.

We actually have 1 and 2 games in hand on the teams above us in the standings. Thats odd seeing as usually other teams have games in hand on us. Anyways if we win both this weekend we would be at 87 points with three other teams. Eastern Conference= CRAZY

These games worry me a bit. Just continue the point-streak. That's all I ask for. I hate these extended breaks between games, so hopefully the boys come out strong and pick up right where they left off in Buffalo.

I know folks are saying a let-down is inevitable and if it's going to happen it might as well be against the Florida teams, but... take a look around.

We're spoiled by the 15-3-3 run over the last 21 and the fact that the Rangers have 1-2 games in hand. Philly and Boston are only a couple of points behind. A couple of letdown games can put the team dangerously close to 7th or 8th place; a bad WEEK plus BUF/FLA getting as hot as the Rangers are right now and the team could fall into 9th.

I know the Rangers in fairly comfortable position vis a vis the POs, but they gotta keep it going. The Wings play at this level all year long. If we view ourselves as potential Cup contenders, we need to lose that attitude that allows us to make excuses and anticipate a slip. We should expect the team to go out and systematically dismantle all comers.

In other words - sweep the FLA trip, boys!

It's weird, isn't it? Seems like these past couple seasons the rest of the conference always has a few games at hand on us. It's nice to be in a position where we actually have some games at hand on most of the EC - and the ones that we aren't a game or two up on have the same number of GP. Its been a very light schedule for the last month or so.

Is 3 out of 4 points too much to ask for?

Full steam ahead, man the torpedoes, we got targets of opportunity to knock down!

I want to see our boys come out skating and taking the puck to the net early. Let's put two in the twine in the first. Add another for good measure in the 2nd, and close it out with a meaningless goal in the 3rd after we're up 3-1.

4-1 Final for the good guys!

I don't think Florida will be an easy one, and Tampa has been winning a lot lately, so neither game can be taken for granted.

Just play hard and win...

I think you have them mixed up a bit but..all the same..

Florida is on a 5 game winning streak, Tampa 2. However, Tampa has scored 11 goals in these two wins..

Not going to be as easy as people think.

Lundqvist is going to have to stand on his head tonight. I expect 35+ shots from this Florida team that has little to lose

this weekend is huge before they jump back into divisional match ups. win these 2 upcoming games, and I am confident they really could make a run for the #1 spot. please, please don't take these teams lightly, bury them and let the confidence grow.

Is the rumor that Lundqvist is sitting out confirmed?

Seems that so far it's just someone's 'feeling.' Why would he be sitting out after three days off?

Great GDT. Big game tonight, especially for my Panthers. Should be a good one, I don't expect either team to come out flat.

Looking forward to Belak and Orr dropping the gloves as well!

I remember reading that he was sick earlier this week. Plus back to backs, with the playoffs looming. I'd sit him.

IF he's sick then I sit him for Tampa to give him more time between games. If he isn't, no reason to sit, IMO.
