D is eh, but O'Byrne needs to play 100% defensively or go back to the AHL. Briesbois is no real answer but he can put good pressure on Ryan to work harder. There's a guy in the AHL named Pavel Valentenko who can hit just as well as he can, so he better improve his D game.
O'Byrne was even on the night against Ottawa... and hasn't had a minus game in the month of March. Has the opposition even scored a goal while he has been on the ice this month?
I agree that he is raw and has some learning to do but he has been effective. He takes the body, breaks up plays, goes into the corners, clears the crease and gets the puck out of his zone. By contrast, Brisebois is a spectator when the going gets a little rough.
Am I the only one who's a little bit worried about our 2nd line? It could turn out to be a little bit on the slow side and somewhat of a defensive liability out there. I guess we'll have to see how it works out. If I'm the other team's coach, this is the line I try to exploit with speed.
I hate Smoke and Kostopolos facing against the opponent top line
Agreed, its hard to watch. Smokes is so soft, and although Kosto tries hard, i dont find he is very effective. At least breezer is back there to make up for smokes' mistakes
Why Brisebois again instead of Dandenault? Crisse!!!
i hate Brisebois as much as the next guy, Natey can confirm that for you, but the guy played well his last 2 games.
i have no problem with the decision.
Interesting line changes, maybe it will send a message to Saku. We need him at the top of his game for the playoffs. He can be a lot better same with Higgins. Maybe we could see Koivu, Higgins and Ryder in the playoffs if they all play well down the strecth. That would be sweet.
As for those who made the bets, thats sweet. It could be worse you could have had to put pengiuns pics or Bruins or EVEN the leafs for your profile.
Hey 2 games left, still a chance for revenge, twice....

Nice, finally Carbo seperates Koivu and Higgins. Theses two has looked like clowns beside Sergei Kostitsyn... and the kid is 20 years old
Not my dream lines, but it's a start.
This line-up is 4 moves away from my dream lines. It would look like:

This line-up would be just perfect, The Belarussian Line must be united and A. Kostitsyn needs to play on the RW !! It could be Magic
Very interesting choice having S.Kost/Grabs/A.Kost on a line together. But I think you are forgetting that eventually those 3 will have to play in our defensive zone.
In the offensive zone those 3 would be great to watch. Good speed, good playmaking and excellent creativity. But in the defensive zone...they would get dominated.

hmmm yeah... I think it's the reason why Carbo hasn't unite this line yet... But I still believe that they would do just fine defensively.
Come on Lapierre sucks. We're a run and gun team, Smokes/Kosto/Latendresse is enough grinders for me, especially against a not-so physical team like the Isles. I'd much rather have Grabovski in there.
