OT: Ducks "special" treatment

I read the Habs-Ducks game day thread, wondered what you thought about Pronger not getting any sanction stomping Kessler last night?

I think it's absolutely ridiculous. Something is seriously wrong with this league.

Was Kesler hurt? Because, as stupid as it is, that's a huge factor.

Jarkko Ruutu never missed a shift after Simon's stomp, so I don't think that's a factor

Colin Campbell needs to take that Toronto job, he's incompetent.

This is what I posted in the nhl thread....I stand by it.

This hysteria is facinating. I just read this stuff...finaly saw the clip....
I guess no one noticed that Kessler was doing the scisor hold on Pronger as he first tried to move away. That gives the illusion of an initial stomp but there was none at first. Then the actual "stomp" occures when Pronger turns arround and starts skating away but steps on Kesler's leg and that part looked "semi" accidental to me.

It's totally out of proportion.
How is it that Pronger got away with that? He better not pull anything like that with the Habs come April.
Pronger's turned into quite the dirty player since getting to Anaheim.

I feel the same way.

Then I remembered that it was Pronger and that's what he does.

Not that I care though, I love the guy.

He needs to take the Toronto job because he's incompetent at his current one, or because his general incompentence makes him the perfect Toronto GM?

The league rarely punishes star players.

Well he got suspended on two separate occasions in the playoffs last year, most important time of the year. So they still do.

As I remember it, the 2nd time should have been an automatic 2 games suspension (because of the precedent) and somehow...it ended up only 1 game...

It was not the first stomp but the second that should have warranted a suspension. Justice for some and not others is no justice at all. How can the league be taken seriously when things like this happen?

He won't get suspended because he didn't take his hand off his stick. You can do anything in the NHL as long as you don't take 1 hand off the stick. The league is a pathetic joke when it comes to officiating.

I can't tell from the video, though, if I would be able to say he did it intentionally, but, I'm sure there are better views available to the league if they wanted to look at it.

you really have to question the integrity of the people who run the league after seeing this. wonder how they are going to try and spin this.
