I honestly think of Brian Rafalski when I watch Joonas Lehtivuori play. He's just so smooth out there. He might not be the most physical guy in the world, but he's just so smart. I know people tend to knock defensemen that aren't the most physical, but I've always said you can more than make up for the lack of a physical game if you play a real smart game. Lehtivuori's positioning is second to none and his outlet passes are very Pronger-esque.

I don't know if people want to hear this, but I pegged Marshall as a North American version of Darius Kasparitis. He might not be as dirty as Kaspar was, but he's mean and can hit like a freight train. He takes care of business in his own end first, but he has an offensive game that could be refined if given the proper coach to bring it out of him.

Dimitri Yushkevich is written all over Bodrov. As long as he doesn't get a big head or as long as his agent doesn't dictate anything to the team, he'll be a long term fixture in Philadelphia. I remember when Clarke moved Yushkevich, it was because of Mark Gandler (haven't heard much from that idiot lately either). I have to agree that Bodrov realizes that this is probably his last chance at hockey. I also think that there's more to the KHL stories than what we're being lead to believe, so I'm going to give a 23 year old the benefit of the doubt.

Anyways, I'm thinking that one, maybe even two of them are going to be ready next year (probably Bodrov and Lehtivuori). If Pronger/Carle, Timonen/Krajicek return, then one or two of Coburn/Parent/Bartulis are going to be moved to make room.

Bodrov and Lehtivuori are definitely the 2 guys I'm looking forward the most, Legein seems intriguing as well.

I think its only a Phantom contract. Sign him now and put him on the big team.

He sprawls alittle too much, but makes these huge saves. I havent gotten to watch the whole game, but who has been playing well?

EDIT: Damnit I jinxed it

I'm not sure who has which number, but Hutton, Kalinski, Legein have looked good, Lehturivi too

Marshall and Bodrov have had their names mentioned, but have done nothing special

Marshall has been lit up twice this game from dirty hits and bounce back up both times. The guy is a tank

Glad to hear they won. I was just looking at the Phantoms stats and Pyorala is only one of two players with a positive +/-. He has a +9 and the other person, Ross, has a +2.

Yea I think I said that (I dont know for sure). That being said though, I think if they wanted to, they could sign him to a EL contract. Now that Backlund is back, I dont think they will though.

I dont think any other team can sign him now that its after the trade deadline, and we signed him to some sort of contract.

I wouldnt worry about it. seems to be very good movement wise just needs to work on positioning. I would be worried if it was the other way around.

typically they signed to an ATO and have a contract signed and dated for some time in the summer.
