I'm pumped for tonight! I got a ticket right on ice row...just one, but right on the blue line. I think I'll enjoy this game quite a bit. Anyone else going?

Yes, if things hold like they are for the rest of the night the Phantoms will clinch according to the AHL main site.

How come they never air Phantoms games around the Philly area?

Looks like R. Sirriani had another hat trick... Can't wait to go to a playoff game at the spectrum

Went to the game tonight. It was a pretty damn good time. They introduced all the Phantoms at the start of the game and they said Sbisa. I had no idea he was assigned to the Phantoms. The Phantoms came out dominating and there were 2 great fights to start the game. Both were after a whistle and they skated to center ice squared up and just started throwing. Matsumoto got a nice wrap around goal in the first. Then they had two nice powerplay goals. The Phantoms fourth goal was just awful. Then Sirriani completed the hatty with the empty netter. Matsumoto looked pretty good out there. Does he have any chance of ever making the Flyers. JVR looked pretty invisible out there tonight. Didn't notice him at all. When I did it seemed like he was always standing around. Anyway it was a good time and I am pissed they didn't give out the T-shirts they advertised. Good to see them make the playoffs though. Hopefully JVR can get some good experience now.

There was no way the building was completely sold out either. If I had to say I would say about 15,000.

JVR played like **** tonight. He seemed to have no interest in playing offense.

That confused me.... I thought he only had 2 goals. They were saying his 2nd one of the night was credit to Syvret instead.

Is Pavel Brendl an appropriate comparison?

Great stuff. Philadelphia hockey places both teams in the playoffs.
Also like that Luca took the 47 again. Really like that number. Hope he keeps it throughout his career.

Not sure, I was just going by the boxscore.

No you're right, and he really did have 3 goals, but half-way through the game they made it Syvret's goal. But at the end of the game, they said Sirianni had a hattrick, so I guess they took it back.

What's funny is I had through about that. Difference so far is that Brendl didn't give a **** about playing in general, JVR just seemed too concerned with defense that he didn't try very hard offensively.

That's fine with me.

I wouldn't be surprised if the coach told him to play more defensive-minded. He has been a late addition to the team, and he isn't the focal point of their offense. When the playoffs start, hopefully that is a different story.

I'm pretty sure this is incorrect. They played in the center during the lockout, but I'm almost positive they played almost all the others at the spectrum. Plus, I thought I heard something on sportsnite last night about them playing in the spectrum for the playoffs.

For the people who have watched all year, has Clackson fought his way into being a future Flyers enforcer? Because he looked pretty good there, and they said he lead the league in fights. Has he won the majority of his fights throughout the year, and does he have any actual hockey skills at all?
