TB just beat Carolina 2-1, Washington has a great shot at the division now at only 2 pts down.

I don't want to face WSH in the first round... GJ on the shutout though Huet

I would be down with Washington making it in as the Southeast champion. Especially if they bump Carolina out of the playoffs in the process.

That would be glee.

I just don't want them sitting in a spot where they might face Montreal in the first round, which might involve lack of Komisarek, let alone Koivu.

Good to see you guys are catching on to the avoid Washington bandwagon.

With the way the Habs played this weekend its almost as if they are on it too, hehe.

Anyone else watching the Oilers game? Wow. One of the best 2-1 games you'll ever see. Flames just nearly scored but it hit the post and then they had the rebounds blocked. The friggin goal judge thought it was in and the horn went off too. Oilers could still miss the playoffs but what a fight they put up going down. Kudos to them. It's not as if Calgary is ok with a loss here since they're jockeying for a more favourable playoff spot (6th since 5th means Anaheim, 7th means San Jose and 8th means Detroit).

they need both vancouver and nashville to go 2-2 or worse in their final 4 games. thats a tall task but you never know.

Nashville need to lay a egg badly

Yeah having both Nashville and Vancouver lose 2 games the rest of the way is not good. They'll have a tiebreaker for wins, but these games need to be outright regulation losses. I'd say Vancouver is the real story because even with 4 wins to end the year, the Preds beat them out by virtue of wins if they also run the table. The Nucks will do some house-cleaning if they just barely miss it while Edmonton will be doing backflips over how well they finished.
