Price's upside is to be an elite number 1 goalie... A franchise guy.... a guy who could challenge the records held by Patrick Roy (soon to be Marty Brodeur).

Either way, going to the other thread... I don't trade either of them right now.... Our goaltending depth is very deep and if we can't resign Danis, we are gonna need a third stringer next year.... Now Tavares is an exception cause i've seen him live and he's the real deal... will challenge Sid, Ove, Malkin, Big Joe, for the scoring title down the road.
I think I really, really over-rate Brendan Morrow. Maybe the same way I over-rate Dustin Brown.

I don't know, but everytime I see him (Morrow) play hockey.. I just wish he was on our team. He isn't that big but he plays like he has Chara's body.. the thing is he can score and pass. He's quick too. In my opinion, Brendan Morrow (money considered) is the best player in the National Hockey League.

The guy is an absolute steal at $4M per. I think he could potentially hit 75 + points per year, he's one of the best leaders in hockey, he's never a liability on the ice, and he gives your team momentum with his physical game (3rd overall in hits!)

Morrow is a poor man's Iginla. I think he's a heck of a player, too.

As for the comparison, Price just has more tools in the toolbox than Halak so I'll have to give it to him. On the ice, Halak may outperform Price at times, but over the long-term I can't see it being much of a competition. We're lucky to have them both!

Like em both, but love Carey Price way more!

These two could be our best tandem since we had Patrick Roy and Brian Hayward...they won the Jennings Trophy for GAA 3 years in a row in the late 80's and Roy again in the early 90's.

I see goalie coach Rollie the Goalie won it one year as well with Billy Smith and the Islanders in the beginning of the 80's as well.

Some days I like Price better, some days I like Halak better. Other days I like Price better, other days I like Halak better. Bottom line is I like whoever is winning. Thats all that matters.

I changed my mind. Tommy, the green ranger. He was the bestest.

Price. Halak will be a decent backup (if he stays).
