Not even gonna comment on tonights game, but MVP goes to Kipper.

For the 2 who voted "other", who are you thinking of?

A younger, hungrier team who wanted it more.

Btw, I'm talking about the Blue Jackets.

OH! I see. In that case Freddy Norrena because no one for the flames played well according to Iginla or Mike Keenan.

Don't have much to say, just extremely frustrated at this team. Our best players were our worst players tonight. Iggy, Phaneuf, Langs, Juice were terrible. When Wayne Primeau is our best forward there is a problem.

These next nine games are huge. We control our destiny, but if we continue the inconsistant play we could be out of the playoff picture or an easy first round opponent.

That was one of the poorest outings by the Flames in a while. The whole team, but our first line in particular was outplayed, outhitted and outshot by the BJs. With Tanguay out and the lines shaken up, I expected our first line to show up and to be the difference-maker, but obviously not that way.
After squandering three huge opportunities to get those much-needed points against teams, who have already been out of the PO-race respectively been fighting an uphill-battle for a PO-spot, I hope the team at least knows what's at stake against divisonal rivals.

With the Oilers' recent streak, there is no team, you can rule out, so we need something, the team hasn't offered for a long time: to show up for 60 minutes a game.

CBJ fan here.

Just wanted to wish you guys good luck in the play-offs this year. I always love watching the CBJ play the Flames. I think both teams kind of play similar games with the Flames having a little more skill, and playing with a bit more of an edge than us.

I thought your Flames just looked a bit tired last night. I know all these games this time of year are crucial and it is easy for us to say that our teams should gut it out and play their best, but sometimes, in reality, the legs just won't respond.

I've seen a few games by the CBJ here recently that they had no business losing, but they just looked like they couldn't muster the energy to play at a high level. I know pro athletes aren't going to say that they are tired, but this NHL schedule can be brutal at times.

You guys are heading home, and I think will get it back together to remain one of the top 8. Sadly, our CBJ won't make it this year, but at least they gave us a fun ride this year for the first time.

If you end up 8th, please put one on the Wings. We would so much like to see them one and done again.

Usually I get pissed off after a loss, but last night I was just dejected. At no point did I think the Flames had a really good chance to score.

After quickly checking some stats, the last time we out shot our opponents was against Phoenix on March 1st. That's 7 consecutive games we've been out-shot, and many of them were by a wide margin. That is something that needs to be addressed.

Tough to pick an MVP for tonight, Kipper might be one, maybe Primeau with his post/crossbar shots. I guess I'll vote for Kip though.

Did you read the post above that this is the FLAMES MVP. In no way shape or form does it say anything about Colombus. Here's an idea start one in the Colombus forum and then vote for Malholtra.

Thanks for the kind words, but I don't think yesterday's pathetic performance was so much a tired team, as it was just the Flames being the Flames, lacking urgency once again.

Good luck to you guys with the rest of your season, as well.

Last I heard, extension talks had begun with Langkow. We know he loves it here and has already stated he wants to stay, so hopefully Sutter gets it done.

Before you start throwing names around the poll said nothing about this being a Flames MVP it was just a MVP. As far as Malholtra, He potted 2 and won about 75% of face-offs. If you want a Flame I'll give you Kips. He robbed Zherdev on a powerplay in the 3rd. It would have been much worse without him

BTW: dispite the fact you go thumped by our my lowly CBJ I truely love the Flames. They've got the tools to make a serious run at the Cup. Good Luck!!!

BTW2: Detroit has a history of choking in the 1st round. If you finish 8th beat them bad, they lack grit.

BTW3: I hope the Flames take out their frustrations on Foote next time you play the AVS.

Ok guys, please come back to discussing the game rather than the other side.

I made a mistake by not phrasing the poll's question explicitly.

To clarify things for the BJs' fans out there:
We established the PGT's polls to vote for the Flames' MVP of each game. I thought the lopsided range of choices would make this clear, cause bearing the Flames' poor play last night in mind, it should be obvious, that the game's overall MVP wasn't a Flame.
