“I wouldn’t say it’s no big deal,” winger Shawn Thornton said. “It’s a thorn in your side. We’re athletes. We get (ticked) with losing. We want to win and you don’t like being embarrassed by anyone.

“We’re due, aren’t we? We’ve got to be due for a ‘W’ against them sometime soon. The law of probability eventually goes your way.”

But Shawn...what about the moral victories, those count.

This home and home series is going to be lots of fun.

Due?

If that were the case then the Leafs would have won the cup by now...no i'm just kidding, that rule doesn't apply to them!

this run seems to defy the law of probability...

i hope this continues, as there is no team i want to beat more.

an aside, Thornton is a better player than i thought he was.

The Bruins, at the beginning of the season, had the odds on their side to win at least a few of the eight regular season games. Unfortunately for them, the habs have already won six. Hopefully two more is not too much to ask for.

The funny thing is that if you read Julien's quotes and read the Bruins board, you get the feeling the Habs won a bunch of games by one or two goals. That we just barely beat them because of their mistakes. I would fully be scared of the ''they are due to beat us'' sentiment if that was the case.

But aside from the 2-1 and 4-2 wins in Boston (the second one in which we held a 3-0 lead), the other 4 games have been easy wins by 3+ goals. We have just been the far better team in those games and that's why we destroyed them 6-1 and 8-2 as an example.

In our 3 games at home against them we won 6-1, 7-4 and 8-2...I don't know where he gets his facts.

Someone should explain to Shawn Thornton that the Law of Large numbers doesn't apply to Bruins v. Habs games.

Normally over time and when conditions are ceteris paribus:

The PW Team A = PW Team B (where PW is the probability of a win)

Unfortunately, the theory breaks down and the math looks more like:

PW Habs = PW Bruins - PW Bruins + PMV Bruins (where PMV is a moral victory)

I'm not wondering if they are, I'm wondering when they are. First 5 minutes or after the 3 goal lead?

Let's just get this over and done with so we can have our 4 free points, and the Bruins can win at morality.

I really think the Bruins will win at least 1 game against the Habs

Since moving to the 8 games against division rivals how often has one team swept another?

I don't even think the Sens have done it to the Leafs.

The habs have a young team. It wouldn't surprise me to see them over confident because we kept destroying the Bruins.
But then again, It wouldn't surprise me to see the Bruins come on the ice with brown stuff dripping out of their shorts..

I just hope Carbo puts Begin and Lapierre in because we need them in those type of games.

Hate to say it but I think they'll win tommorow. And then we will completely obliterate them on Saturday. I mean really bad. Like 10-0. Kovalev with 4 goals, Koivu with 3, Latendresse with 2 and Komisarek with the last one.

That's the way the mop flops my friend, it's the curse. What were the shot totals in those games? I do believe our goaltending was terrible in those games? No excuse, we absolutely sucked in those games but I do believe it's going to be very interesting the next two games. Could possibly be a preview? It's going to be a barn burner. Bring on the Habs!!!

It goes further than 6-0 this year, we are 18-4 since the lockout combined that by winning 23 of the 30 playoff series. I don't know where he gets the ''we are due'' thing because they have been due for the past century.

hope the habs aren't taking this one as lightly as we are. i'm sure they all thought the blues would be an easy 2 points too.

The Penguins did it to the Flyers last year, or the year before. I think thats the only exception so far post-lockout.

The good thing about the loss to the Blues is they might actually be a little more hungry for the win tomorrow. Let's hope - the Bruins are not to be taken lightly, they're a playoff team after all. And they definitely have something to prove against the Habs. They'll come out strong for sure.

I do believe I just heard PJ Stock say Glenn Murray says the next two games are GUARANTEED wins against the Habs.

Ohhh baby...
