Which trade do you like better? (if any)

1) I get Lecavalier, Slava Kozlov, DP (undecided what the DP will be at this point)
I give Chara and Amonte

-OR-

2) I get Lecavalier, Slava Kozlov, Zubov, DP (undecided what the DP will be at this point)
I give Chara, O'Neill

It is a keeper league, and ALL players involved in the two possible deals either are currently or would be keepers for me (i.e. Chara, Amonte, and O'Neill are already keepers for me, and Lecavalier, Kozlov, and Zubov would also be keepers for me if I do the deal). What do you think? Which trade do you like better, or do you think they're both bad for me? PLEASE HELP . . . .

I prefer 2 cause get a solid Dman to fill the void of Chara and IMO i think Amonte is better the O'Neill but either way i think you get a steal on Vinny

Should I take your "if you are going to take one of them" remark to mean that you don't think either of them are good for me?

IMO, I'd do the second one...

Trading Chara for Zubov really isn't bad
and Lecavalier is a great player to have in a keeper league, he'll be among the scoring leaders in the next few seasons. And you give O'Neill who is struggling this season (like the rest of the Hurricanes) and get Kozlov and a DP...

I didn't include this in my original thread because I didn't want it to influence anyone's opinion on the Chara-Lecav deal, but there is an extension to it . . .

My intention was to eventually trade for Redden to replace Chara, which I thought would be great because Redden is better than Chara anyway, imo. Last night I found out that the manager with Redden really likes Zubov, and would only move Wade if he got Zubov in return. So, if I get the Zubov deal then I'll turn around and trade Zubov for Redden. I broke down the trade(s) like this (this is taking the Zubov deal above, and then moving him for Redden):

Chara < Redden
O'Neill < Lecavalier
AND I get Slava Kozlov and a draft pick essentially for free.

So, I end up with the better (and slightly younger) defenseman, the better (and younger) forward, AND Slava Kozlov and a 2004 draft pick FOR FREE. Seemed like a heck of a move to me . . . .

Ah well, you know me, not a huge Lecavalier fan! haha

The second deal is too good after looking into it more... Lecavalier is never gonna be terrible so I wouldn't say it's a risk, but it's far from a sure thing he'll become a consistent all-star...

Lecavalier 15G, 31 pts in 50 games...
Kozlov 19G, 39 pts in 54 games...
Zubov 6G, 32 pts in 55 games...
Plus a draft pick...

for

Chara 11G, 28 pts in 52 games...
O'Neill 10G, 27 pts in 53 games...

Don't really see how you could go wrong with that, sorry for my previous statement but yes, if I was in your shoes I would definitely take this deal regardless of what round the pick is in. I know points aren't the only thing you should base a deal on (if it's a FHL league, keeper league guess it'd be different), but they would be significant... I'd say you run away with this deal...

Agreed it is a heckuva deal for ya. If you can move Zubov for Redden without giving up too much with Zubov then you should do it, no doubt!

And what do you see his full potential to be? Are we talking point per game player, or pushing 100 points?
