Anyone else think there could be a fight in the first 3-5mins. Maybe sooner.

sjostrom scored last time against the flyers.....he will stay because he has been very good

Hollywood is centering Orr and Freddy if I'm understanding Sam correctly. Betts is out with a minor foot issue, which in my opinion is bad.

That sucks if Betts is out. Hollweg as a center?--I much prefer him as a wing.

I much prefer him as a cheerleader from the back room.

From Dellapina:

Quote:
Blair Betts hobbled into the Prudential Center Wednesday night and gutted out 8:53 of ice time - including a shift in overtime. But afterward, a foot problem believed to be an infection left him in no condition to board the team’s train to Philadelphia.
Still home in New York, the Rangers’ fourth-line center will sit out tonight for the first time all season.

I'll rephrase--if he's going to play--I'd much rather he were on the wing. Anyway don't know if this has been mentioned but apparently Umberger is out the next two weeks.

My guess is that we'll see Drury, or even Dubi?, double-shifting a bit to act as that line's center, with Hollywood getting the short end of the TOI stick. This is where the home-ice last change rule could really help us.

More than ever, this means we need to stay out of the box!

The 4th line lacks a natural center, if we had the home-ice/last line change available to us, we could send Drury out for FOs, and Hollywood jumps on the ice at the first opportunity. I guess that could happen anyway, but that advantage is nice to have.

Also, Drury or Dubi could skate as the lines center, and provide Sjostrom with a legit playmaking center, from time-to-time. Basically, what can Renney do to minimize the impact of having Hollweg play center.

As for staying out of the box, Betts is out best PKer, and is amazing on own-zone FOs. So, to minimize the impact of his absence in that area, we need to say out of the box.

Thought you meant the Flyers having it could help us.

First, Let's Go Rangers!

Second, Vali is in net and Hollweg is centering in place of Betts (as per Sam Weinman and a couple of posters earlier). Come on Vali!!!!

Lastly, Thank you James Dolan forwaking up and switching the Knicks game to MSG2 and putting the Rangers on MSG. Now the game won't be cut off at exactly 9:30pm.
