Happy for him and a little surprised. Playing on a strong line could have disadvantaged him. Really thought it would have gone to Camper .

I think that was the fight that got him suspended, he didn't really destroy the guy at all.

You're right it was. Just checked the scoreboard...

Wow! If that's destroy, imagine when he'll knockout a guy, what will he do then....annihilate him?

People have that great tendancy to exagerate...only problem, the guy that told us that he destroyed the other guy, didn't know his fight would end up on You Tube.....oops.....

I once saw a game over the internet at the beginning of the season where McDonagh's team was facing Max's team and Max was all over the place. He played like a vet and was dominant. He helped his linemates as much as the helped him. I was pretty thrilled. McDo was almost invisible though. But for a rookie D-man, that can't be a bad thing...

You're absolutely right. Saw at least 5 games including Max and he was impressive on all 5 not only by the goals and assists but the thunderous bodychecks he was giving and moreso, and that's the great part, his intimidating presence. Planting his feet in front of the crease not moving, giving some looks, fighting, pushing and shoving, something we don't have too much in our team.

As for McDo, contrary to most people, I hope he's able to work on the fluidity of his skating. Besides that, not noticing a freshman on Defense, is a pretty good think. I've seen McDo around 5 times as well (and people can see him as well, Wisconsin internet site has a place to review most of their games) and I liked what I saw from him on both ends.

But I think what happened is that, and normally so, he looked overwhelmed by the end of the season. Where competition was tougher and while it might have been a little too much for him, he was making more mistakes than he ever did.

He never was bad, but let's just say he was way more average than he was for most of the year. He'll adapt and will be much better next year. But while he might look more ready than Fischer, I wouldn't rush him as well. No need for that. With Komi-Markov-Hamrlik-Gorges for some more years, chances are we will add O'Byrne, Carle and Valentenko as well. No need to rush any of our prospects.

it's going to be real interesting to see what he does next year without porter. Will he be able to bust out of his shadow and be the go to guy or will he regress without his superstar linemate. Only time will tell...either way though im really looking forward to seeing him in a habs jersey.

There's no Porter in that team. Still I have lots of confidence, that Rust and/or Caporusso will be good linemates for Pac, especially Rust.

I expect a similar season while usually he should have a better season 'cause more experienced. But you can't disregard the fact that Porter was a heck of a player for them. I fail to see how Porter won't make it in the NHL.

But Pac will be more experienced and will have the ability to make his linemates better even though he's not the centerman....or Michigan and the Habs have that great surprise for us and make him the centerman.....

I'd love for the Habs to trade for Porter, he'd be a great addition imo
