Now we know what head of the Dandouillon was rotten. The Gorgouillon is a superior beast.
Actually Dandenault's -13 is with him playing in front. The fourth line this year wasn't «regular» defensivly, this is why Carbo plays a lot with the composition of that line. Begin, Smolinski, Kostopoulos, Dandeanault and Streit have been good sometimes, but not consistent.

But Gorges is a better d-man than Dandeanault. I surely hope he won't compare himself to Dandy when he'll resign a contract this summer because he'll have 2M a year..

Not only is this guy a very skilled D-man but he's a great guy. My short time I got to talk to him he was funny charismatic and genuinely a good guy!

All the habs were great..I wish I could have met Halak Ryder Markov and Plekanec but they were not at the pre game lunch

Go gorgoullion....I have no issues with Boullion, as Montreal's 5th or 6th D-man..He knows his role and hits hard and plays all out every shift.

I think Georges has been an unsung hero for the Habs. He has played very well this season. He does this by keeping things simple. Moreover, Josh has added some much needed depth to our blueline. It was good to see that Carbonneau continued to have faith in him even after that gaff versus the Thrashers. It was a defining moment to his season as it showed that the Habs still had confidence in him after what happened.

Its Gorges!
Why can't people spell the Habs players names correctly.....and you call yourselves fans!!!

Georges=Gorges
Kautsitsyn=Kostitsyn
Grabovsky= Grabovski

There is a reason they put their names on the back of their shirts.

Love the little guy and also love posting in his weekly appreciation threads. Believed in him since day 1...and everyone laughed when I and a few others said he'd be #4 on the depth chart soon enough.

HA.

He struggled mightily when matched against the bigger Western Conf lines as was evident when Montreal visited the west coast recently. Rivet has a line of 5G, 29A 34P +3 21min/game playing against the top lines every nite for San Jose. Gorges line 0g 9A 9P +4 15min/game.
"A" typical for Montreal fans. We exaggerate everything. Put guys on pedestals so they can fall flat of the faces. Give Gorges time and he'll end up in the dog house too.
I'll give it to him right now. I like that he has gained confidence and is not holding back. He is also playing on a much stronger all around team than Rivet ever did....the whole team is playing with confidence...Pleks, Kovalev, etc are playing much better...Price is solid and giving the D more confidence. As soon as things start going wrong Gorge's will find out what it's like to play in Montreal when things aren't going your way. Look at Komi...he hasn't been great for awhile...body is taking a beating, a few injuries catch up and like Rivet, you find out the fans have short memories....negativity builds up and before you know it, you're out the door.
When Rivet was paired with Markov he was a solid defender then he got burdened with Souray who buried both of them with his bad defensive play.
Lucky for Gorges, he's been partnered with Hamrlik and Markov, not Souray.

Sure, don't give props to the guys when they're playing well just in case they won't in the future...
