Congrats on your great news, your story is quite inspirational, and I truly hope the news continues to be positive for you.
I'm a long time lurker, and Habs fan from New England since the early 80's. Your quote about Smolinski being a funny and great guy struck a chord. I'm not such a fan of Brian, but at the end of the day, he is a human being. He tries his best etc.. Sometimes we really lose sight that the players are just like us, with a much more high profile job. I think everyone should remember that more often, and what in life is truly important.... like remission.
Nice to know I'm not the only one in this state. Have you noticed a decrease in obnoxious comments from Bruins fans, too?
To the OP: Congrats on your remission! Glad to hear you got to have a night with the team, you certainly deserve it. I bet your first night out in a year was tiring, but if there are more pics we'd love to see them when you have a chance.
So happy to hear about your remission. I just lost my grandfather to cancer, so i know the pain everyone in the family goes through. You are an inspiration to all those who have gone through this, congrats.
I'm sure meeting Saku had a special place in your heart, thats so great you got to meet the team you truely deserve it.
