Voracek Playoff Watch

I was really hoping to see Jake win the Q scoring title, but he really trailed off at the end of the year. Now I see the Mooseheads win 11-1 and he only registers one assist. I'm not close to the situation in Halifax, and I would like to have someone update me on how he's playing.

Last year, he was a horse in the playoffs. Here's hoping he's got more of the same to show.

Ice, do you think Voracek is fatigued? or have the defenses figured out how to stop him?

If I had to guess, I would wonder if there is a minor injury or illness that is either limiting his ice time or ability to hit the scoresheet. But I have no first hand knowledge.

It has only been two games. The line of Hillier-Corsi-Swan has been on fire, so they are being leaned on while they are hot.

I was at the two games, and Jake was still the best player on the ice for both games. He was making things happen and doing his usual 2 minute shift on the PP. In game one he had a glaring turnover but it didn't lead to a goal. That's the only "mistake" that I seen him make.

Another thing is Victo is keying in on Jake, checking him hard. That is opening things up for Swan, Hillier and Marchand.

I was also a bit surprised by the fact that Jake only got an assist in Game 2 but it doesn't mean a thing. Don't worry about Jake, we here in Hali aren't one bit. He carried us this year and he will produce when he needs to.

I love that Macster lives in Halifax. It makes me feel like Jake has someone watching over him to report back to Columbus, haha.

Glad to hear that though. I can't wait to see the kid in camp next year, whether he makes the Jackets or not.
