Ottawa have to go 3-2-1 to win the division even if Montreal go 0-5 to finish the season.

they have

Thu, Mar 27 Buffalo 7:30 PM
Sat, Mar 29 @ Boston 1:00 PM
Tue, Apr 1 Montreal 7:30 PM
Thu, Apr 3 @ Toronto 7:30 PM
Fri, Apr 4 Boston 7:30 PM

Its too bad that no non-canadian-lead Captain has ever lead his team to the Stanley cup and than won.

Maybe that trend will change.

I was nowhere near as pessimistic as some were (I anticipated a playoff berth before season started) - but never did I ever imagine this team would clinch this early, have a strong option on first in the North East and even the Conference!

This team has not ceased to amaze even someone like me this year!

That isn't true. Hatcher won a cup as Captain and he's American.

Prior to and at the beginning of the season... I didn't see it happening.

But I mean, I live to be wrong.

1999 Dallas won with an American captain.

Great job by the team from top to bottom. Long may this kind of success continue for the them and us. So if making the playoffs was Step 1, now we just need to work on taking it a few steps further.

Go Habs Go

Sadly, it is never that easy. Goalies can't be the captain of a team. Besides, Saku is our captain as long as he is here IMO, and he deserves it.

A lot of people forget this. For those wondering, it wasn't Modano, it was Derian Hatcher.

Well that's a completely useless argument. Up until last year no team with a backup goalie named Ilya had ever won the Cup but still Anaheim somehow managed to win. Big deal.
