Does Vs. have an online feed? I thought they did, but I can't remember.

I'm stuck in a hotel in Michigan, unfortunately.

The better news for Mara: he makes his return to the lineup tonight after missing a month because of facial injuries sustained Feb. 23 in Buffalo.

Of course, don’t start celebrating yet. Mara is back in only because Michal Rozsival is out with what Tom Renney is calling an “upper leg strain.” The coach wasn’t overly concerned about his No. 1 defenseman, who tweaked his leg a few days ago and re-aggravated it again yesterday. It sounds like his absence may only be limited to tonight, and Rozsival was already busy working out in the team’s fitness room. But it’s not something the coach wants to leave to chance.

What does our D look like now?

Staal-Malik
Tyutin-Girardi
Mara-Backman

You cant put Backman with Malik IMO.

Philly is playing desperate hockey, we'll be lucky if we get a pt imo. They're only 2 back from us as well.

agreed, Backman and Malik would be the loudest boos ever, well not as loud as a Poti-Malik pairing, ouch. Most of the Garden crowd don't know Backmans been playing decent the past couple too.

id rather see Sjostrom on a scoring line. he is like prucha useless on the 4th line. sjostrom at least adds offense but id rather see him with more skilled players

What are you talking about? He's been far from "useless" since he's been here and played on the 4th line.

Its going to take a total team effort tonight to pull it out in regulation with Betts, Gomez and Rozsival out.

No softies please.

The Rangers cant worry about whos on their line and what they have to do as a unit out there. Every guy should just go out there and do their job. Usually when the lines are jumbled up like this the Rangers try to make the perfect play. Its almost like they are trying to impress their new linemates - just skate hard, forecheck, backcheck, keep your position, hit, shoot and score.

Go to the net and worry about the basics and everything should follow.

There is no way we can expect a rusty Paul Mara to log effective 1st D pairing minutes.

I doubt he will. Renney will probably cycle the D through pretty regularly, and bump Girardi/Tyutin's icetime for things like the PK.

I doubt Mara ends up playing Rozsival minutes
