I dont know, seeing how this team is currently configured today and Renney sticking with the same ineffective PP units leads me to believe theyll put together a "thinking too much" effort tonight.

I think its a 4-2 Flyers win with an empty netter.

I have an uneasy feeling about tonights game.

Renneys lines irk me, and i think they wont be effective and hell be switching them before the 3rd period comes around.

If we can't (do not) win this game tonight then the playoffs are going to be a joke. A loss tonight means we severely lack the character required to go anywhere in the playoffs. Beware the first round sweep......

Teams that go deep into the playoffs find a way to win the big games even when key personnel are missing.

This game is for a 4-point swing, either NYR-90, Flyers-86, or tied at 88.

It's time to seperate ourselves from the bottom of the pack. If we can't do that, my expectations are NOT high for playoffs, and frankly I'll be pretty pissed off.

That debacle in Florida/Tampa is hurting, and there is no excuse for it.

First off, I'm kind of glad this game's on Versus. I don't have to worry about trying to find out if the game's going to be on in my area because of localized programming.

Second, just win. Two points, please. Fingers are definitely crossed here.

Gotta come out strong and win these games. A win tonight would all but assure the Rangers of a playoff spot and would definitely put the Flyers into dangerous waters.

I'd like to see their ship sink like in that picture.

4-1 Rangers. Jagr and Straka become a dynamic duo once again.

While I agree with the sentiment that we should find a way to win tonight, the reality is it has little to do with our chance of making the playoffs or how we fare in the first round. If we lose tonight we need to win 3 of our last 6. A win only makes us that much closer to clinching a spot...as we'll only need to go 2-4 afterwards. And what's not to say that we lose tonight and then run off 6 wins to end the season...would that scream being swept in the first round?

That said, 2 points would be very nice tonight!

Let's not take the Rangers to task for their only two regulation losses since Feb. 7. And a loss tonight likely won't have that big a bearing on the playoffs.

It feels like forever since I watched a game. I was at the Phantoms/Pack game on the day of the Flyers/Rangers game. Knowing they were right next door was crazy.

Anyway, GO RANGERS!

A fan announces that THIS game will tell all. In the next game a different fan will post that THIS game will tell all, and so forth.

If you believe this and you have tickets for the playoffs, you might as well sell them now at a profit if they lose tonight.

John Ahlers, Eddie Olczyk and Bob Harwood are calling the game for Versus.

This might be one of those games where you mute the TV and turn on 1050.

i wonder if it gets nasty tonight, kinda shocked nothing happened in philly. right off the bat they should have avery and downey lined up. rangers gotta get the fans in it early, a fight would do that. I noticed the Rangers play better when they are physical, I wish they would do it more often. Rangers 5- Flyers 3. Goals by Dubinsky Jagr Drury Staal and Callahan

now that avery is playing center and we're down to two real healthy centers (not including him, he is a winger), he shouldn't be fighting...leave it to colton or if it comes down to it hollweg (we don't need that line- just work sjostrom in with the other combos)

Realistically, a player his age isn't ready to be a 1st pairing D. Staals "problem" isn't how he plays when he is on top of his game, its how he would look if he is played too hard.

Playing D in the NHL is all about dooing the same plays over and over and over again. That takes confidence more then anything. And as a D, if you make a misstake, it stings allot.

Like this season we have seen older Ds like Tyutin and Girardi struggle a bit for shorter stretches after beeing used in bigger roles for a full NHL season.

I think there are a few examples around the NHL of major talents on the defense who should have come allot longer then they have in their careers -- and many of them have been overused early in their career. I mean, look at Marc Andre Vlasic, he gets less ice time now then his rookie season, he is minus 11, he got like only 40% of what he scored last season.

We probably need him to step up and take on a bigger role in the PO's if we are gooing to have chance, if he can do that then thats great.
