I hope we meet in the playoffs too...just not in the first round. Hope is the key here.
Fair enough; I didn't mean to imply that all Bruins fans are like that. The ones that are though....

How about a Montreal-Ottawa 1st Round? With the way the Senators are playing, it seems possible..

Playoffs are a whole new season, anything can happen which is way there's always upsets.
you actually believe that having not beaten us in 11 straight games you're going to win 4?

If our players think like you it just might happen.

thanks Dr. Freud, but uh I'm actually referring to STATS.

not the psychology.

yes bruins can win and stranger things have happened, but if they haven't won ONE in 11 it seems unlikely

they will win FOUR. that's not over-confidence just projecting facts

I also rember when habs were 8th and eliminated #1 Bruins.

You should also know that the playoffs is an other season...many times things play out differently. Anyway I realy hope we win because losing to them would be beyond painful.

look at the season stats from that year. the bruins weren't 8-0 against us. sure they have a shot of course, I'm just saying based on what we've seen, it will be hard for them to win 4 out of 7.

we've also had their number for 80 years.

23-7 lifetime in playoff series. we've won more cups on their home ice then they have

The best scenario is this:

1st round:
Habs win against Boston
Philly win against Carolina
Pittsburg win against Rangers
New jersey win against Ottawa

2nd round:
Habs beat Philly
New jersey beat Pittsburg

3rd round:
Habs beat New jersey

4th round
Habs win against Colorado and theodore

Word. Take no team lightly, even if you have beaten them all year long.

Kobasew is out for a prolonged period of time as well I believe...bad blow for the Bruins, he was really becoming one of their clutch players.

So we might be playing Ottawa in round 1.

What do you guys think? They have 92 points and Boston has 90 (1 game in hand), NYR have 91 (two games in hand), Philly has 91 (no games in hand).

That would be tough.

If Caps win all three and Sens don't get any point in 2 of their 3 games, Caps will pass Sens.

If Caps win 2 and Sens don't get any point in there 3 games, Caps will pass Sens.

That being said, Sens with 3 games left, could finish #1 in the East but may miss the playoff as well
