Reading the paper today, we are 1-11-2 over the past 2 seasons vs the Predators. No need for motivation out side of that stat right there.

Top line has to be big tonight, and they will be. I have a good feeling about this one.

the best thing about todays paper was OK's quote about chitty country music town

"It's always been a pretty good rivalry," Blue Jackets defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen said. "They've been tougher at the right times of the game. They've been more mad. I think that's what it comes down to.

"But I want to kill them."

Roster:

Nash - Malhotra - Výborný
Chimera - Peca - Žerdev
Murray - McKenzie - Brulé
Picard - Novotný - Lindstrom

Hejda, Klesla
Hainsey, Rome
Wilson, Tanstrom

Norrena

Question, why do not Hitch try to play Bru with Nick and why is Alex Picard in fourth line. He played better than Chimera and Peca in the second line or not? What does Vybes do in the first line and Joakim Lindstrom in the fourth line? I

I hope that I am wrong and these plyers will play good.

I'm expecting the Jackets to be thinking more of the upcoming summer intertainment they will be doing on their Canadian lakes and US golf courses than beating Nashville. Although one never knows for sure the Jackets could surprise me and win the game but I doubt it...

Nashville 5-1, my biggest concern with this game, and the others remaining, are CBJ injuries that could impact next season.

Vyborny on the top line is interesting. Is Hitch giving him a chance to show Scott something before the season ends? We'll see if those lines actually take the ice, they've been posted wrong before.

5 AHL forwards on the ice again.

Perhaps Howson will give the Jackets a pep talk, I'm sure he wants the CBJ to help out all of buddies in Alberta as well...

Nashville is really the only team left that we have a chance or playing spoiler for. We have them 2 times in the next 4 days and it would be nice to win both of them and steal 4 points away from their playoff push. Knocking Nashville out of the playoffs maybe a small step for this team but it's a step in the right direction.

That said, they are going to try and jump on us from the start and hope that we roll-over. I honestly hope we can weather the storm early and pull out a victory. We need a big game from our big name players.... *ahem* Zherdev.

If we take both games from Nashville, we'll be basically even with them in the standings as well. 2nd place in the division can still be had. Thats not much consolation for the playoffs, but it speaks volumes about the improvement over the past 18 months.

These next 3 interdivision games can change everything.

If(big if) we were to win these 3, we'd be sitting at 83 points, 1 point ahead of Nashville.

If(smaller if) EDM drops these 2 road games(at MINN and COL) they'll be at 83 points as well.

We could be sitting in 9th by Sunday, 4 or 5 pts behind COL/VAN with a game in hand on Colorado, and 4 games left to play.

Its crazy, I know, to speculate, but just the fact that those scenarios exist with 7 games left makes for good hockey in March and April.

Cold comfort, but comfort nonetheless. If this scenario plays out, I'll feel much better about the end of the season, which right now has me frustrated.

Ive become so manic for our last couple weeks of games its making my head hurt.....

I want us to win and get to 80/85 points and build momentum for next year. And my heart says never lose, always try to build a winning culture but.......I kind of want us to tank to get a better draft pick this year, Stamkos????.

I want to beat Nashville and I dont want them to make the playoffs but..... I think if they were the 8th seed they would have a better chance than Colorado to beat Detroit and I have to see Detroit lose in the first round above all else I think but....

I want Colorado to make the playoffs so we get their first round pick this year so we have more assets this year to trade for that first line center we need so bad but.... I think Detroit would make fodder of Colorado and if Colorado does make it I want them to lose in the first round so their pick is better, but I cant have Detroit get past the first round and suffer their fans at Nationwide next year can I????????

Im also starting to like Edmonton, I think they are another "small budget" team like us that I could really root for in the playoffs, but not at the expense of Colorado not making it............

My head hurts, Trade Zherdev .

Jackets get the backup goalie treatment again, Preds are starting Dan Ellis.

There will be six Crunch players in the lineup tonite. Couldn't beat them with six regulars and now there are six callups playing tonight. No chance of a win.
