Last night during the Rangers game they had a video of tie domi on gardenvision explaining how he gave Richter the nick name "big boy" because of the flip in the front of his hairdo. He also said how Richter hated the name but it later stuck. Pretty funny, Richter does look like big boy (of hamburger fame).

While his may be "cheesy" it's atleast the actual nicknames.

I have not once heard 2 queens and a king....which to me sounds pretty dumb, since the Sedins have been fairly consistant this year.

The Sedin Sisters one was funny the first couple years, but the novelty of it has kinda, more or less worn off.

As for funny, yet insulting nicknames....can't really think of any right now.

David "Franchise" Legwand

"Come on Franchise, shoot the @!^# puck!!!!"

And you can put the "o" back in Elmre! Scored his first goal last night! The jury's still out on the "D" however.

How about Claude "Genital Herpes" Lemieux?
If you ask me, that's an insult AND it's funny.

"Genital Herpes"

That's a good one.
