R1 vs. R3 TPS sticks

I'm looking to get one on-line and I was wondering if there is a big difference between them. Is one lighter than the other or is one made more sturdy? Any help would be great. I already know the curve and flex I want, so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks in advance.

We carry the R1, R2, and R4, so I'm not that familiar with the R3. The R1 is mostly fiberglass and therefore is a tank. Heavy, but durable.

The R4 is a pretty good stick for the cost. Good performance, well balanced.
