which 2008 prospect have increased or decreased that are in the playoffs

Stamkos has solidified his spot from the 4 goal outburst the other night
Doughty is playing very solid 2 goals i think

any others moving up or down the ladder

I think Pietrangelo might get back where he started the season which is at 2nd or 3rd. It seemed like he was always falling a little bit throughout the year. Not much, but it seemed like he could challenge stamkos early on, and there was threead about him being number one then in some mock and central scouting list he was like 5th or a bit out of the top 5, but hes doing great in the playoff. I like him alot so it's nice to see him doing so well in the post season.

Beach has been a no-show for Everett.

They are about to be swept and he is pointless and -4

Michael Hutchinson has got to be moving up the goalie list.

In the first 4 games of the Lethbridge-Brandon series, Boychuk has 4G 3A and has led the Canes to a 3-1 series lead

Cody Hodgson had 5 goals in a 5 game defeat to the colts, mind you I believe 2 were empty netters in the one game brampton won.

Pietrangelo with 4 goals, 4 assists for 8 points as the Ice Dogs got the sweep early and will move on to the second round.

Stamkos 9 goals in 5 games.
Josh Bailey had a really solid series for Windsor 1G 5A, I actually think this guy could crack the top 10.

One was an empty netter. 30 seconds later on the same shift, he dangled both defenseman and fired a wrist shot from the high slot top shelf after Barrie put Hutchinson back in the net.

He had 5 of Brampton's 9 goals in the series. No other player had more than 1. And Hodgson and Dale were the only Brampton players who were plus.

As an aside, to Red Wings fans: Cory Emmerton is a bum.

Josh Bailey should crack the top ten

Just like Sam Gagner should have cracked the top 3 last year

Kyle Beach carried that Everett team to a first round sweep like a true top 10 prospect.
0 Goals.

0 Assists.

0 Points.

-6, which is 311th out of 315 WHL players.

I love how this good Canadian kid with lots of heart and grit stepped it up in the high intensity playoffs.

Hell, a Russian had more points than him (Karamnov).

Could you please elaborate a little on that last statement as per Cory Emmerton? His stint in Brampton has been underwhelming after he returned from mono. At the start of the season he played well as one of the main penalty killers in the Canada-Russia Summit series.

Then later on he apparently played through the mono, trying to make Team Canada for the WJC but came up short. I think that if he had been healthy, him making the cut would have been pretty likely. Is his effort lacking or is he just not getting the job done at the moment?

Colten Teubert has a surprising 1 goal and 4 assists for 5 points in 5 games played so far in the playoffs.

Who's getting carried away, chief?

My top three was and still is:

(1) Kane
(2) Voracek
(3) Gagner

Then

(4) Turris

If that's what your panties are in all bunch for.

Are we looking at the next Phaneuf? Some have to be excited to see these numbers. Teubert's second half of the season, particularly February and March, has been encouraging scoring wise.

Or is he gonna be Gauthier II?

I've heard comparisons of Teubert to Pronger but without the offense. Is there any truth to that statement?

Yeah, I like this comparison much more than Phaneuf. Teubert will never come close to the offense Phaneuf provides. He does have a way of physically controlling a game with his size and his long reach ala Pronger.

If elgible, Stephen Johnston (Feb 24 '90) should definetly move up as since Matthias has been out the whole playoffs he has 3 goals and an assist in 5 games.

Phaneuf was never coming close to the offense Phaneuf provides until he...developed. It's always hard to exactly compare players but Teubert is pretty much exactly the same prospect as Phaneuf was in his draft year: a banger whose offensive potential was/is seen as limited. Phaneuf had 30 points in 71 games in his draft year, Teubert 23 points in 66.

So no, Phaneuf didn't even have the offensive side of his game as a draft eligible.

Don't really see the Pronger comparison, as Teubert relies on his body more than his stick and is not such a game controlling defenseman. Pietrangelo is a better comparison as far as mannerisms, size, meaning to his 5 man unit, and overall effect on the game.
