And riding Ferraris. Visiting Paris. Skiing a year or two in Colorado. Saying the English word "So..." while speaking French, etc...

Hmmm... La Quête Pour La Vingt-Cinquième... Maybe some bleeding-heart commissioner would give it to us in sympathy.. ?

"The Drive For 25" is more accurately translated in French as "La Poursuite De La 25'ieme".

My translation talent and the number of beers i ingurgitated tonight convince me so...

Isn't quête "quest"?

Yes but in French 'quête ' implies asking for money like in church.
A 'Quest' is more like "Recherche" in French.

Oh I see. I thought quête meant both. Stupid french words who mean 12 different things

Don't worry, it does mean both.

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qu%C3%AAte

I don't know why some say it's only for begging or church stuff when you hear "(insert team name) est en quête de....." so many times when you listen to french sport shows.

Exactly...

Drive for 25 all the way. It focuses us on the 25th and rubs the other 24 in everyone else's face.

A slogan must be catchy and it takes me a couple of minute to catch it and I'm not the only one......

Not bad but a simple drive for 25 would have done it.

To me, it would be o so sweet to see the Habs raise a Cup banner in the first game commemorating their 100th year in the NHL. My dream for the upcoming season.

For some of you that can heard the matches at the radio, in the French-transmission of those, there is often a few minutes that is telling one of the great hockey moment linked to the Canadians that happened on the same date.

Just to say, I know that the season 07-08 will have many shining moments to inscribe in History. February 19th will ALWAYS be remembered!!

They do indeed.

Doesn't really matter what happens in the post-season. It'll be a long long time before I forget what we did to the Bruins this year.

here the habs playoff slogan for the past years :
in 2002 : none
in 2004 and 2006 : Habs All the Way! (Tricolore jusqu'au bout !)
in 2007 : The drive for 25 (La route vers la 25e se poursuit) but we miss the playoff !
in 2008 : 16 for 25 All for One (16 pour 25 Tous pour Un)
