Do we tank last game?

If it means choosing between say washington-boston, would we forfeit 1st for a much prefered first round vs. the Bruins?

Is there such a thing as tanking in hockey?

I'd do it more to not let the leafs get Stamkos. But if it's impossible that they get him we win, that's it.

It definitely should be considered.

We HAVE to avoid the Caps. The whole Huet vs Price angle will be absolutely intolerable and just too much of a distraction. The media will FEAST on that every single day. Then you consider we have to face Ovechkin with Komisarek banged up. On top of all that, Washington will be hotter than a firecracker and will have NOTHING to lose.

ABSOLUTELY NOT.... You don't mess with the hockey gods.... no good can come from intentionally losing for a better playoff matchup.,

Don't tank, but put Breezer and Dandy in the line-up so they will be ready for the playoff

I hope not.... On another hand, it would be cool to see a Pens-Caps (1 vs 8) and Habs vs Ruins (2 vs 7) match-up. An Ovechkin vs Malkin and Crosby duel would be awesome.

Even if we did not clinched first or second before the game Carbo will very likely rest Kovy,pleks,Markov,Hammer....so in other words we would have a good chance of losing

***.

Have we suddenly become as pathetic as Leaf fans?

Tanking is for the weak. If we can't beat Washington we have no chance at the cup anyways.

Hell no! I wanna finish first! I could care less about who we play in round one, I could care even less about where the Leafs draft.

I don't care who we face, as long as we win the division. Every team 6-8 has serious issues.

You guys say we don't want to face the Caps, but their PK is 25th in the league.

cant risk having McCabe seek payback on Andrei either, he would be one to 2 hand him across the forearm.

You have to beat the best to be the best. The habs have had nothing to lose all year and Carbo would be smart to try and keep that same mindset into the playoffs. They are a good team and a young team that will only get better. Have fun and play hard, if another team is better over 7 games, you learn from it and work on your weaknesses to avoid it next year.

Last game before playoffs I expect the Habs to come out flying so they can ride high into the first round. I couldn't care less where the leafs draft, they'd probably screw it up anyway...

You blow the Leafs out of the water and take that momentum into the first round.
