Reminscing: YOUR jackets' All-time team

I'm not sure if a new thread is the perfect place for this, but I couldn't find anywhere else to put it so....

Rule is simple.... its based on what they did as jackets, nothing before, nothing after. I'm hoping this will be a pleasant diversion from the disappointing season (in terms of playoffs I mean)

Centers (based on lines 1-4)
1. Cassels
2. Knutsen
3. Sillinger
4. Malhotra

Left Wings
1. Nash
2. Sanderson
3. Letowski
4. Shelley

Right Wings
1. Whitney
2. Zherdev
3. Heinze
4. Vyborny

Defenseman
1. Hejda
2. Suchy
3. Berard
4. Heward
5. Erikkson
6. Hainsey

Goaltenders
1. Run Tugnutt
2. Pascal LeClaire

What do you guys think?? I just came up with these off the top of my head.

List looks good, I'd probably put Pushor above Heward, but that's it.

I'd like Dineen, Adams, Foote and Spacek in there somewhere. Berard and Eriksson out.

You're missing Oliwa.

Well, let's get this fun started! This turned out to be harder than I thought. Only the goalie position was easy. These are MY favorites, not necessarily the BEST to play the position for the CBJ.

Centers (based on lines 1-4)
1. Cassels
2. Sillinger
3. Svitov
4. Wright

Left Wings
1. Nash
2. Whitney
3. Sanderson
4. Shelley

Right Wings
1. Zherdev
2. Heinze
3. Dineen
4. Boll

Defenseman
1. Spacek
2. Nummelin
3. Hejda
4. Odelein
5. Klesla
6. Heward

Goaltenders
1. Tugnutt
2. Leclaire

Boy some people have these Klesla agendas and I just don't get it.

So you'd take Berard, Heward, and Bubba over Klesla, Foote, Spacek........Odelein, Sydor

Centers
Andrew Cassels
Espen Knutsen
Mike Sillinger
Manny Malhotra

Left Wings
Rick Nash
Geoff Sanderson
Freddy Modin
Jason Chimera

Right Wings
Ray Whitney
Nikolai Zherdev
David Vyborny
Kevin Dineen

Defense
Foote
Klesla
Spacek
Hejda
Hainsey
Heward

Goalies
Leclaire
Tugnutt

If I can carry a couple extras I'm taking T. Wright and Boller

I was considering Kevyn Adams and Kevin Dineen, but Dineen was at the tail end of his career and he's best years were clearly behind him.

Foote did basically nothing for three years here in my opinion, despite wearing the "C"

I agree about Spach-o I missed on that one.

That's a very unspectacular defense the last 7 years, Hejda is probably the best we've ever had. Lock him up for 5 years Howson.

My Jackets all time team is my NHL Hitz 2002 team. I was unstoppable. I won every tournament my friends had. Avalanche? Wings? No problem I was a steam roller.

Center: Sanderson
Winger: Whitney
Defense: Odelein
Goalie: Tugnut

Yes, Sanderson out of position. But the center was the focus of your NHL Hitz offense and Sanderson had the best ratings of any CBJ player in the game. Odelein was a slow piece of crap but he would send players flipping through the air, losing their helmet on just about every hit.

In the rare occasion that I would lose a fight I would sub Wright in for whoever got knocked out for the rest of the game. Even if it was the defense slot.

There aren't enough good players in CBJ history to put All-time team together.

Nash-Knutsen-Vyborny
Whitney-Cassels-Zherdev
Sanderson-Marchant-Dineen
Shelley-Wright-Boll

Spacek-Hejda
Klesla-Suchy
Pushor-Nummelin

LeClaire
Tugnutt

This is based on a real team, not just my favorite players. I have 2 scoring lines, a defensive/shutdown line, and a grinder line. My defensive pairings have players I think would work well together. Spacek can move the puck and shut down the top lines with Hejda. Klesla and Suchy are both pretty good in their own end and move the puck fairly well. Pushor is a right handed shot playing the right side and Nummelin the same on the left. I think they both could move the puck fairly well. LeClaire has surpassed Tugnutt for our best goalie this year, but Tugger isn't too far behind. This was a lot of fun, but pretty difficult.

Here's a twist on C23's idea.

The All-Time CBJ Disappointment Team
(guys who were either overhyped or didn't do what they were brought here to do)

Center:
Carter
Marchant
Hrdina
Svitov (for signing, then leaving)

Left Wing:
Oliwa
Selivanov
Pirjeta
Picard

Right Wing:
Jackman
Sloan
Marshall
Brule

Defense:
Sydor
Lachance
Foote
Richardson
Berard
Timander

Goalie:
Denis
Brathwaite

If you're doing a disappointment team the goal tending position begins and ends with Martin Prusek.

Really? I never thought he was that bad... I just remember him having "Norrena Syndrome" i.e. no support.
