Are you kidding me Werth? Gregg is struggling with his control and you bunt a ball on the first pitch.

This team can be so stupid sometimes.

Yeah, I am not really sure why he is still getting playing time. Can't we just make him disappear? He was horrid last season and he isn't any better this year.

Gordon has had a good ERA since Opening Day, but his stuff has just not been there and he's probably lucky he didn't get tagged harder before tonight.

I dunno, need a win tomorrow.

I don't really think it's cause for concern right now, but it's certainly something to keep an eye on. It's not the end of the world. Yeah, every time "Lead Gone in a Flash" Gordon comes into the game, I get that ****** feeling in my gut. Even though he's pitched well since opening day, I don't know, I've felt it was just a matter of time before he was tagged again for a big inning. Just an uneasiness, I suppose.

Anyway, if anyone watched Phillies Post Game Live, Mitch Williams (I actually like his insight) said something I agree with. If this Phillies team is what we hope and are starting to think it is, they'll show resiliency tomorrow and win the last game of the series. Yeah, it's only June, but this is too good of a team to get swept by a divisional opponent, especially the second place team. I expect Moyer to do his thing and contain the Marlins' aggressive batters. Hopefully, the offense can generate some more offense and runs tomorrow because Olsen (the starter for Florida), while sporting a 3.44 ERA, has also surrendered 34 BB to 41 K. The Phillies' lineup just has to be patient with him and wait for their pitches. I also think the Phillies get to the Marlins bullpen a bit in the later stages of the game, but I still expect the Marlins to keep it close. I'm expecting a Brad Lidge save, too.

7-5 Phillies

Yeah, I guess the jinx is on now.

The Flash Rules

1. Never bring in Flash Gordon in the 9th inning.

2. Never bring in Flash Gordon as the first relief pitcher of the game.

3. If Flash walks or gives up a hit to the leadoff batter, he must get the next hitter out. If he satisfies this condition, but somehow the runner advances to second, Dubee must talk to him.

4. If Flash starts out hitters with a 2-0 count, JRoll must always come yell at him.

5. If Flash gives up a walk-off grand slam, bring him in mop-up situations to lower his ERA and use him as a throw-in in a later trade for a good pitcher. This should not be an issue if rules 1-4 are followed.

Ok well it would have helped to win the series against the second place team witha tough set of games coming up against teh Cardinals, Red Sox and Angels

And wins count the same now as they do at the end of the year.

They do, but these aren't "must win" games...they're on a tear, they lost two games...not a problem.

Especially when they just swept the best home team in baseball. A 3-3 road trip is nothing to scoff at in June.
