I read in the Gameday thread that Carbo had decided Halak was starting Saturday no matter what.

I'd love to see Price, but it is smart to keep Halak in game shape.

Plekanec has 21 goals ( 23 with tonight?) on the road. Only 7-8 goals at home. Its nice to see someonew score on the road.

LOL at the post game interviews on CKAC. They are interviewing Pleks and you can hear Higgins just yelling accross the room to someone.

We need to finnish 1st or 2nd. Third and down gets pretty tough teams you don't want to play off the bat.

I have no need to see Carey again tomorrow. He might as well get into the rhythm of the playoffs. No back to back games, little break to work on kinks between every game.

Halak will get the job done in any case.

Ha! What an awesome ending after what initially looked like they would go out with a whimper tonight! Plekanec & Higgins with some huge one in the late surge and Streit makes amends for his defensive lapse with assists on all three.

Feels like robbery but I like what Ice Poutine said - the Sabres get what they deserve if they can't shut down a team in the dying minutes of the 3rd, for a 2nd time in what was a crucial week for them.

I wonder how many so-called fans turned the TV off with 3 minutes to go tonight?

Natey, your Breeze-bye avatar is almost sexy. And I agree that it's a good idea to start Halak on Saturday, and not just to give Price a break.

I just find this extremely funny.

I think the **** THE HATERS should be directed at players like Streit & Higgins & Koivu.

Like, seriously, how many people hate Price?

I think, our record is better on the road than at home.

We've scored 129 goals on the road compared to 121 at home.

The stats are on NHL.com are already updated for Pleks. 21 Goals on the road and eight at home.

Haha, I know. I love it!

I know he's not a very good player anymore.. but its hard to not love your favourite players from when you were a kid!

I just hope he plays in 2 of the last 4 games.. so when we win the Cup, he gets his name on it.

Anyway, what's important is that we won!

GO HABS GO!

Carbonneau said it the other night that he had planned to play Halak vs. the Leafs. Also said Dandenault and Brisebois would get to play Saturday.

But I have an excuse. I'm at work and my computer crashed, and the profile took forever to reload. So I got pissed, went outside for a smoke and a coffee, and when I came back I nearly **** myself when I saw the score.

I met him last weekend and he's a heck of a guy. Funny as hell and a real gentleman.
I hope we Ottawa loses tomorrow and the habs win thus clinching the division, then they can play Dandenault and Brisebois and rest guys like Markov Koivu Kovalev and company....
