I just realized that Gorges is actually younger than O'Byrne. Add them to all the young defence prospects in the system, it bodes well for many years to come.

I know, I for one, am hard on Price. But I love him, in the way you love hockey players.. lol

But seriously.. is there that many people who hate him? I usually don't click on the goalie threads..

Isn't there another rule too.... X number of games in the first three rounds gets your name on the cup too??

So you were the one bringing us the bad luck! You may consider taking a sledgehammer to the computer to prevent this situation from happening again (I do realize that may not look good on your employment record, but it's for the good of the team!)

We could have 5 60 point players this season.

Streit needs 2
Markie needs 3
Koivu needs 4

And if Andrei K goes on a rampage with 7 points the last 4 games....

Please, the goalie is part of the team and Price was solid. And a goal scored in the last minutes is just as good as a 1st period goal.

Exceptions are made on a case by case basis too. I am pretty sure Halak for example wouldn't get the requirements, but would still go on for obvious reasons.

Its not "somehow" you TSN halfwits!... Its hard work and the other team letting their guard down AGAIN this week. As if they didnt learn anything from their come from behind loss against the Sens!

I hate it when TSN does everything to belittle us but puts it on 1st page in big titles when Sundin decides to fart or go tho the McDonalds!.

"Lead story tonight on TSN: Sundin 1, Big Mac 0!!"

I usually follow the game on here (sometimes listen to the radio at the same time)....anyway, it was 1-0 Buffalo and I went to the bathroom...came back and it was 1-1

So I kept following it here, then Buffalo scored twice to make it 3-1; it really didn't look good.

I hadn't eaten yet so I went to make a quick supper; came back to check HF and the Habs had just gotten a powerplay!

So I went back to the kitchen, came back a minute or so later, and it was 3-2! I said to myself, "damn, better stay in the kitchen, something good happens when I'm away from the computer"...and so I did, for 5 minutes!

Came back, it was 3-3, OT just starting! So again, I ran back to the kitchen and made sure to stay there for at least another 5 minutes (I was still eating, though I would usually eat in front of the computer otherwise...but these were exceptional circumstances).

Then I came back...4-3! Couldn't believe it!

I'm sure Halak would reach it.

If we are winning in the Stanley Cup finals and we're up by a couple of goals, I'm sure both Carbo and Price would let Halak get on the ice for a few moments as time winded down.

Brisebois would probably get one too for being an off-ice veteran, but he'll probably reach the requirements too.

I'm not sure if Chipchura would get one, he's pretty close to the 41 games (36).. if he were called up.

I think it was me. I was listening to most of it on the radio at my gf's while studying for an exam I have Monday. She doesn't hav ecable so I couldn't watch it on TV.

Anyways, when the Sabres scored their 3rd goal, i turned off the feed and figured it would help me study but also figured the Habs would probably do better without me listening on the radio.

Sure enough, I came back to see who won, and they came back!

PS. I generally don't leave once we're down (ie, I watched the whole Rangers game thinking we could come back) but I don't generally listen to the game on the radio or have exams to study for. Had I been watching on TV, I'd have stayed.

Can't wait for the highlights on Canadiens.com to show up. Anyone know when thos are generally posted?

I'm not sure that Montreal had "no business" being in this game. The PK work was glorious off some absolutely ridiculous refereeing that stole all their flow, and they had a number of really good scoring chances (Kovalev's miss in the first period particularly sticks out) that they just couldn't bury.

The effort level was low in some stretches, but that was a combination of frustration and post-clinch letup. At some point, this invariably builds up.

Price was awesome, but nobody ever says the Devils have no business being in any game because Marty keeps them in, right?

Does a goalie need to start a game or just be the backup?

The Sabres were playing their guts off tonight in huge playoff mode while the Habs were basically going through the motions for 3/4 of the game, then they just turn it up a notch and score 3 unanswer goals...wow...I cant wait to see the team when they are in playoff mode!
