Give me a break...he and Streit will vist the doctors TOMORROW. How could they know right now? I call bull****.
TSN Ice Chips said Koivu and Streit would both have x-rays today. The fact that they know there's a fracture doesn't, by itself, give them enough info to know how long he'll be out, IMO; I think the doctors will be able to give a better time frame tomorrow.
he got hit in the foot in his first shift last night...
if it's as severe as 4-6 weeks,
how was he able to play 15+ minutes after that shift?
I've heard of a skate acting almost like a walking cast and preventing swelling quite a bit. If he kept his skates on until the game was over, then maybe... remember when Higgy had the ankle injury last year, he finished the game where it happened.

Actually it says ''this weekend''.
LOL at the all the bridge jumpers...the team 990 has been wrong before guys.
And no, La Presse did not report Komisarek's injury could take longer. In fact, I have the paper in front of me and it's clearly written the original timeframe of 3 weeks remains. Maybe the poster who wrote that is thinking of the Francois ''pessimist'' Gagnon's blog yesterday who thought that maybe Komisarek's injury is getting worse and that's why the Habs were releasing an update of his status.
He received that shot with not even 1min played in the game. At this time a year, I doubt he wouldn't have taken off his skates if he felt any kind of discomfort. Especially since we already clinched a spot.
I think its BS.
Im sure at least between periods he would have tried to remove his skates and if he felt anything while removing them, he wouldn't have dared to go back on the ice.
Oh please if it was bad enough that he cant play he would not have finished the game yesterday or at least he would have missed a shift. I think Crosby played with a broken foot all the way to the end of last season and he never seemed to affected by it.
