Which former Montreal players do you still root for?
Saw this on the Flyers board...which players that played in Montreal do you still root for, even though they now play in other cities?
For the Habs, I like to see a guy like Robidas and Garon do well, although that's probably mostly because they're in the Western Conference. Seeing Rivet have probably his best year is pretty good too, especially considering how the trade worked so well for the Habs too. Also, Zednik, Zubrus, Hainsey...and a bunch of others that I enjoy when they have a good game.
In terms of other sports, I like to see most of the former Expos play well. Vladimir is still my favorite baseball player, and Vidro, Cabrera, Hernandez, Schneider bring back some memories.
What about YOU

Zednik and Huet, I like to see them do well (but not against us), especially Zednik in light of the freak accident.

No one, it would have been Ryder but my man is still here so that means I root for the Habs only!

Mike Ribeiro, I always liked that guy, even if he likes to piss off other players but still, he's having a great year. If he hadn't slow down, he would have hit 30-60 90pts at the end of the season

Zednik the most.
I want also Huet and Garon to have success.
I still like Zubrus too.
Theodore, I used to hate him here, I don't root for him now but I wish success for him to be at least a legit #1 goalie in this league, but not with habs.
edit: forgot about Schneider too, he was one of my favorite players with habs.

Garon I guess. Really, it's none. I'd like for Souray to do well, but I can't say I actually root for him.

Huet, for sure. I enjoyed watching Bulis with the Canucks, he was great against the Stars last year. I like Recchi.

Hell Yeah! I miss Rodgers yelling when he was hitting hs HR over the wall at Chicago Stadium.
I personally like to follow Robidas career. I Can follow both Robidas since his brother play for Sherbrooke in LNAH.
An because he's a funny guy, I like to see what Downey still is able to do in Detroit.

Its sort of a love hate with some of the players, If they dont do well I feel good because it feels our GM has made the right move, but it was nice to see Riberio have a break out year, its always good to see the small guy excel.
Also I love to see Huet win.

All of them...... from Huet all the way back to Chelios
(unless they face the Habs of course... I prefer they save their best performances against top conference rivals)
The only guy I don't root for is the cancer extreme that was Samsonov.

Garon for sure. Always saw him as a very solid player and a nice guy. I'm happy it's working out for him.
