Just listening to team 1200 (ottawa sports radio). They said it was the first time they saw opposing team fans COMPLETE a wave all around the building!

Wish I was there!

I live in Ottawa now (was in Montreal the previous two years, the Habs are my second team) and there was an article in the Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa's Gazette) about how the only time the Bank is ever lively is when the Maple Leafs or the Habs are in town. The article was basically trying to challenge the Sens fans into actually showing that they have some sort of emotion during the games.

I went to a Oiler/Habs game at the forum a few years ago and it was probably one of the best times I have ever had in my life at a hockey game.

Every single time I go see that habs, it's one of the best times in my life.(unless they're getting schooled) but I've been to MANY games this season, probably around 5 and also a preseason game. We won every single game I've been to. Of course, that's easy to say when your team is one of the best in the NHL, but this was even when we weren't playing so great at home.

Bottom line: seeing your team play in the most exciting arena in north america really does make you enjoy the game more. Honestly, in some respects I am proud to have the fans we have, even if they do complain an awful lot, it's only because we expect so much of our habs and for once, our expectations aren't too high.

At the end of the game, most of the sens fans had left and it was insane loud. When Pierre said "Une soiree au Centre Bell" and all the fans where chanting "Carey!, Carey!" I almost shed a tear.

Also we could clearly hear the "Nah Nah Nah Hey Hey hey good bye" song.

That must really hurt when u are at home and you can hear that being 3 goals down.

scotiabank place?

you mean Bell Center II.

That's got to be seriously embarrasing for a Sens fan.
How can they let that happen in their own city?

I really think there were more Habs shirt at the SB Centre yesterday than at a Habs game in Montreal. The reason is that Habs fans that go to the Bell Centre don't all have a Habs jersey, but when they go on a road trip, they all wanna make sure that they have their jersey on.

First in Boston, now in Ottawa. I think all the arenas should officially change their names to Bell Centre when the Habs come to town.

Not really,I find Boston even more pathetic.

Don't forget that Ottawa came in as a franchise in the 90's therefore there are lots of Habs fans and Leafs fans.In boston the drive is much longer and we still out numbered them every time this year. They should be embarrased even more!!

Most of the people that sit in the reds don't even deserve to be there and don't know ****

It's too bad, too because the reds could be so awesome if there were less business-casual and more me.

I was there.. It felt liek the Bell Centre.

Alfredsson being booed with the puck, the Gerber chants.

I would say it was 40% Habs / 60% Sens fans in the building overall.

I've lived in Ottawa my whole life and have remained a Habs fan through out. And though ive seen many Habs Vs Sens games at Scotianak Place, last night was the loudest I've ever heard hab fans. The 'Ole' song was a constant throughout the whole game and felt like the whole building was singing; but the chants of 'Carey' after his game ending thievery was so loud it gave me chills.

Btw Ottawa is notorious for conservative lame fans for all venues, so its not to hard to cheer louder.

I have to agree that a lot of people in the red have free tickets from company, but without company Habs wouldn't make as much money. This year I bought tickets in the red for a game against the Leafs and the guys behind me didn't know anything about hockey, and what pisses me off is that they really tought they were the best hockey analyst ever seen. Hearing that Begin is number 32 and that he plays on defense hurts my head, but in fact they have the right to watch a game as much as we do. The only thing I ask to some fans is please, if you don't know what you are talking about, ask for help don't try to make it look like you know. Watch the game, and enjoy that's it!

The game I went where it was the best was a leafs game, but one game surprised me, I went agaisnt the Coyotes like 2 or 3 years ago and chanting CUUUUUUUUJOOOOOOOOO was priceless, and the best of all is that we had Logan sitting next to us, this guy is insane, each time I see him I know it will be a great game.

The Bell center is unique and what makes it unique is the fans nothing else, that's why MTL fans look like invaders on the road, they are simly the best.

I was loving that last night. The Habs fans at the SBP were awesome. I live 45 minutes up the road from Ottawa and I have to say that sports events in that city tend to be lame. I've been to a lot of Sens games and the only time there is noise is when there is a goal, big hit, fight, icing on a PK or you they have the "Go Sens Go!" chant up on the scoredboard. The rest of the time, there is so little crowd noise. It's weird to have that many people in a building, sitting quietly. Games at the Bell Centre are 500000000000000000X better.
