Trevor Timmins.

Reasons: Andrei Kostitsyn, Lapierre, O'Byrne, Halak, Chipchura, Grabovski, Streit, Price, Latendresse, Sergei Kostitsyn were all drafted by him and all have made an impact on this season.

Gainey deserves a lot of credit for letting the kids play and making some good decisions and trades.

The habs win because they really play as a team. There's nothing else that needs to be said.

Biased and predictable poll, though I wouldn't expect it from TheDamned.

They're where they at because they successfully built success as a organization and fully earned it.Sure all three deserves legitimate consideration for it,but I think that no one should be considered bigger than the team itself. No individual deserves to receive all the credit.

The Habs are an elite squad and are a well-run franchise from top to bottom.

I don't see it as a question with a singular answer. Teams have good years when a lot of things fall into place. Timmins for some astute selections, Gainey for assembling a solid staff and staying out of the way, Kovy for a career year, Gainey for his walk along the Lachine Canal with Kovy, a lot of things fall into place. The water in Belarus, as the 2 youngstres give the team depth in offense that they haven't had in along time, it's a combination.

It's a team game but I'd name Trevor Timmins and the scouting staff.
After that the (re)emergence of various players: Kovalev, A. Kostitsyn, S. Kostitsyn, Hamrlik, O'Byrne, Gorges etc. Of course Gainey and Carbonneau have done excellent jobs as well.

Think about the Habs organisation under Molson and Ronald Corey

Now think about the Habs organisation now...

Gainey

He built this team.
How many players remain from when he took over 3?

He worked things out with Kovalev.

He put Carbo in control.
In BOB I trust.

Gainey. He could have traded away Kovalev after that crappy season but instead he talked to him and gave him another chance. He built this team.

Brisebois brought a lot to our 'team toughness' concept..

Good point.

Halarious avatar btw. I read about the guy who was arrested for humping picnic tables. Then I noticed his family name was Price.
