The Blue Jackets have promoted right wing Adam Pineault on emergency recall from the Syracuse Crunch. Pineault, 21, is expected to make his NHL debut on Thursday night in Detroit. The Jackets will have five Crunch players in the lineup, not counting the likes of Aaron Rome and Andrew Murray.
Pineault has registered 21 goals and 27 assists with 64 penalty minutes in 74 games. He leads the club and ranks second in the AHL with six shorthanded goals.
A 6-foot-1, 201-pound native of Holyoke, Mass., Pineault was the Jackets' second pick, 46th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft.
