Wow, offense is weak a bit... Koivu, Grabovski, Ryder out
I'd hope Lats is ahead of D'Agostini at this point really... but you never know.

I've never seen D'Ago play.. any brief scouting report on him? How's his shot/skating?

He looks a lot like Higgins. His shot might be better.

Those are his two greatest strengths, he's a very good straight-ahead skater with a very good shot. He likes to beat defenders to the outside. IMO, he needs get stronger, quicker or smarter to win enough puck battles to be effective.

His speed is one of his best assets, he can move up ice quickly. His skating is good but he needs to improve his lower body strength, would like to see him improve his upper body strength as well. He's got decent offensive skills, a good shot, nice slap shot for sure and can pass the puck well. He's smart so he knows where to be on the ice, won't hurt you in his own end.

Has had an up and down year (as have the dogs), but he's still 2nd on the team in goals, assists, points in his 2nd pro season.

I think he's going to get some powerplay time being a right handed shot and all.

D'Agostini is a playmaking version of Higgins. If anyone wants a comparison.

October: -8
November: -2
December: -5
January: +2
February: +2
March: -10

-21

Would have been possible to have a more respectable ratio but then March came and everyone decided to take a month off....

Didn't he win the skills competition earlier this season with a 100mph slapshot?

Yes he got 100, but Valentenko won it with something like a 102.

Awesome, maybe Stewart gets a game on Saturday (Begin can rest so he can be firing on all pistons come playoffs) and can beat up Tucker or something.

REALLY DOUBT Ryder is hurt..

There just giving the kid a shot, because hey, why the eff not? Ryder is not here next year, and what better chance to view a possible replacement than in a meaningless NHL game instead of possible bogus evalutation during the preseason (sergei kostitsyn), Hope the kid does well and doesnt look out of place, lemme put it this way, he wont do as well as Sergei, but he sure as hell wont do as bad as Locke

Dago has AWESOME speed and a PRETTY underrated shot ! REAL happy management decided to do this.

Renaud Lavoie said Higgins will play center tonight, which is good, he's a natural center.

So:

AKostitsyn-Plekanec-Kovalev
SKostitsyn-Higgins-D'Agostini
Latendresse-Lapierre-Dandenault
Bégin-Smolinski-Kostopoulos

I would of prefered Latendresse on the second line instead of D'Ago, but Carbo's the boss!
