GDT: Caps @ Flyers

This will be a snoozefest if I've ever seen one. The only highlight likely to be Nittimaki's (sp?) debut. Despite it being his first game, I think he has a lot to prove, let's hope the emotion doesn't catch up with him. Flyers should breeze through this one.

Flyers 5 (Comrie, Gagné, Markov, Pitkanen, Recchi)
Capitals 1 (Carter)

I'm hoping the flyers are thinking the way you are.

The FLyers should comeout strong looking to score frequently knowing the #3 is in net and suck the life out of the Caps.

Flyers 6 (Comrie 2, Recchi,Leclair,Roenick,Somik)
Washington 0

I think the exact opposite will happen. I think that the Flyers will come out cautious and play tight defensively to take some pressure off of Niittymaki. once Niittymaki settles in, then I think the Flyers will open up more.

I'm so sick of seeing boring hockey! How may times do we have to play the Pens, Caps, Panthers, Sabres etc!!! True we don't win them all but they sure are BORING. Curse the neutral zone trap!! Erase the red line- I don't care. This game has got to do something - ANYTHING!

Flyers 2
Caps 1

snore....

I think Nitty will do good, the boys will give him a solid effort.
I also hope someone takes out Witt as well.

The Caps played a tough game last night against Tampa, Ouellet was awsome and was the reason they won. they're a team that is just going to keep falling and if the Flyers come at them fast anf furious and can unload themselves in the first period, the Caps are going to get worn down.

I say the Flyers win 5-2 (Gagne, Pitkanen, Roenick, Primeau, Amonte - Bondra, Halpern)

I think this will be a close, low scoring game that the Flyers should be able to win. Hopefully, it won't be boring.

Flyers play tight and win 3-2
Someone needs to tee up Witt
Plenty of rough stuff tonight with lots of scrums around the goals

Brashear should be doing that every shift in every game.

Probaly scratched for Lappy?

That's fine as long as Brashear does his job.

Hey, who was that playmaking center?
Its Prims - good to see gags on the board.
Sharp looks like he has some hop - must not want Lapointe to hurry back.

Is he out for the game? If so, have fun watching Gags get his head handed to him by Doig, since no Fedoruk this game either. Man is Somik useless.

ESPN has only 17 skaters dressed for the Flyers? Why was Weinrich scratched?
