"Dan really knows every single square inch of that ice," Suter said, adding that he too might try sleeping in his skates. "He was always screaming 'Get out of the backyard! Go over there around the recycling bin! Set up there, where my bike is parked!' and I end up exactly where I need to be to make a play."

Although no one in the Predators organization has a definitive theory as to why Ellis moved into the team's net, there has been growing speculation that when he joined the team he did not feel that he could find a comparable apartment in the greater Nashville area.
Two of the better parts, lol

Saw this was just about to post it for you guys. Good stuff. I love the Onion. The sports articles are the best!

I remember one last year about Roger Clemesn family offering him a $15 million contract to spend more time at home. F n hilarious!

That's hilarious! Suter, of course, is from the Suters of Madison, Wisconsin (home of The Onion). Ken Daniels throws that nugget out every time the Wings play the Preds. Not to be confused with the other Sutter dynasty from Alberta.......

hahaha, that's great. Gotta love the onion.
One of my favorite t-shirts is an onion shirt that says "the sports team from my area is superior to the sports team from your area"

I wonder if they still sell that specific shirt, because I'd love to own that ... wear it every time the BJs/Blues come to town
