Who do you want to win? Detroit or Nashville

Round 1 of the playoffs will include a Detroit / Nashville match-up. So, who would you rather see make it to Round 2?

Is there a way that they would keep playing in overtime so that they would eventually have to be left out because game 1 never finished?

Boo to both teams, but I'd rather see Nashville knock out Detroit, and then get pummelled by SJ.

I hate both teams, however I do like Datsyuk and Radulov.

My hate for Detroit is greater than my hate for Nashville. Seeing Detroit hoist the Cup would not be a good end to the season. Nashville has no chance of winning the Cup even if they make it out of the first round. Ergo, Detroit must lose.

I don't like either team but I despise Deeetroit.

My hatred for Nashville has grown over the last few seasons but at the same time I respect what they've done... Trotz is still the coach and they're imbedded deeply in a non-traditional market yet they've had a lot of success during the regular season.

I know they've never won in the playoffs but as a Jackets' fan I'm jealous because they've been competitive in the Central and have challenged Detroit. They face some of the same issues we face (and will continue to face) such as:
  • Being in a non-traditional hockey market
  • Having a dwindling fan base
  • Fear of the possibility of relocation

I tremendously respect their ability to withstand what they went through over the summer... It seemed certain that they'd be moving to another city or Province. They also cut some payroll and yet are back in the mix. I hope they p*cker-slap Detroit.

Sophies Choice really.

I really dont mind Detroits players (except Maltby). As a matter of fact, I kind of respect how good they are and how well run an organization it is. Their fans that come to Nationwide though, insufferable. One time I had to tell one of them sitting next to me what a power play was and why it was probably a good idea to have "that one guy" in his words out there for it. That "one guy" was Datsyuk. That same Detroit "fan" was yelling about how many cups they had all game long and how many we didnt have. True story. Complete idiots.

I dont like Nashvilles players or coach much at all, but I dont mind their fans one bit. Ive been to Nashville a few times for games and their fans are great. I could do without that whole "air qoutes" knasher thing, but I guess if they want to look stupid, who am I to tell them to stop?

My personal opinion, Detroits fans are worse than Nashvilles players.

I am buying a Tootoo Jersey and learning how to do "air qoutes" when Nashville scores goals.

Having said that... it's always awesome when Detroit gets through a round or two just to lose late - like in the Western Finals. That's a beautiful thing too. It means that dagger goes extra deep into detroit fans.

I'd rather see Detroit beat Nashville.

I haven't seen our Blue Jackets beat Nashville for the past two seasons..so I want to see them suffer in the playoffs.

Umm...uhh...neither? Slight edge to Detroit because it'd be a more quality matchup between the Wings and whoever they meet up with in further rounds.

Nashville moves on because I'd like to see Jody smack Tootoo around if the Preds get San Jose & NSH won't get through San Jose anyway.

Detroit moves on because I hate the Preds.

It doesn't matter as long as the winning team gets swept in the next round.

Since I don't quite understand the draft order, if Nashville wins the series, does it make their draft slot lower? What does it do to the Red Wings if they lose in the first round?

If winning the first round hurts the Preds draft position, I'm all for it.

I want to see Detroit crush Nashville since the Preds got in on our backs. Then see the Wings get hammered in the second round.

My 2 teams this year:

San Jose in the West
Washington in the East

Who cares.

Just hope both of them are knocked out before the finals.

I'm hoping we see a Ducks (or Wild)/Caps Finals.

While I hate both teams with a passion, I'd rather see Nashville rewarded for keeping their franchise.
