The Greatest wrist-shot of all-time

with Ovechkin racking up the goals with his lazer wrister, i thought this would a good time to talk about some the game's great wrist shooters.

not necessarily in any order, just some I can think of:

Joe Sakic
Mike Bossy (he had a great every shot)
Wendal Clarke
Lanny MacDonald
AO's obviously up there

Mike Bossy had the quickest release I've ever seen.
Joe Sakic was probably the most accurate with his shot.

According to Legends of Hockey, Denis Potvin had one of the best and strongest wrist shots in the game, from the blue line.

Without question.

Remember him scoring the game winner in OT in Game One of the '80 Finals with a wrister skating in from the point. Used it nearly as much as his slapshot.

Bossy's was legendary.

It's funny Sakic is the first one I thought of when this thread popped up. Another name not mentioned was Kariya. He has slowed down considerably over the years but in his prime he had a laser of a wrist shot that was accurate as all get out

First two names that come to mind were Lemieux and Charlie Connacher.

I'd have to give Wendel Clarke some love.

you guys might chew me out for this if your not from ottawa, but mike fisher has a crazy wrist shot. He has clocked it at 95mph. that being said, sackic would be my choice for best wrist shot, power and accuracy

I don't think that mentioning Naslund's name is that absurd. While he certainly does not have the best wrist shot of all-time, he had the best wrist shot in the league for a few years before the lockout, other than joe sakic's.

You know, putting B. Hull doesn't really help to distinguish between Brett and Bobby Hull.
