Bossy's was legendary.
Bobby Clark mentions in the 'Legends of Hockey' biography on Potvin that, and this is recollection, he [Potvin] had the hardest wrister in the league. I've heard him repeat something similar to this on another occasion, but paraphrasing, when Potvin shot from the blueline, you tried not to get hit with it.

Lidstrom? Interesting. My favorite player in the game today, but I don't think I'd agree with you. For my money, the most impressive aspect of his shooting is the accuracy of his slapper. But he's never been able to wrist it with the likes of Sakic or pre-injury [Markus] Naslund.

The timing and and accuracy of his shot is what makes it great.

The scoring chances created off a Nick Lidstrom point shot, slapper or wrister, are a large part of their offense, in my humble opinion.

Yep.

For me, part of having a great shot is knowing when to use it.

The top 5 wrist shots I've seen:

Joe Sakic (a very quick and pretty hard)
Mike Bossy (a quick and very accurate)
Peter Nedved (an extremely quick)
Wendel Clark (probably the hardest wrist shot)
Paul Kariya/Brendan Shanahan (their one timer wristers are great)

HM: Mario Lemieux and...tons of others.

Wayne on Mario: "He's got those awesome wrists. He could wrist the puck through a refrigerator door."

And we already know about the accuracy.
