Minnesota Wild (3) VS. Colorado Avalanche (6) Series Thread

I hope Laperrière is ready to get the ever loving p*** beat out of him. Boogaard, Simon, and Fedoruk put the foil on.

Wild in 6 GO WILD!!!!

I'm pretty sure Lappy can handle himself, i can only hope the Wild don't do anything stupid, and by stupid i mean illegal, to "get even". With that aside good luck to the Wild and there fans.

If I were the `Lanche, I would be very frightened of facing the Wild.

If I were the Wild I'd be afraid of facing the Lanche...you know, 9-1 with foppa in the lineup.

No Lemaire knows how to handle his players and dose not allow cheap stuff, like last year when Brad May sucker punched Johnson. No just a drop of the gloves for going after the star of our team.

Good luck to you guys as well.

I think that one loss came at the hands of the Wild if I am not mistaken.

That "1" sure is a pesky one, isn't it.

I could not believe that it happened, I would have been fine if we lost the game. I was going nuts, I am surprised no one called the cops on me. lol

The Avs are a very dangerous team, but I'm cautiosly optimistic. We play well against them, and it's definitely a better matchup for us than the Flames. I'm pretty sure it'll be a long one, 6-7 games. Won't be easy, but we can do it.

I'm sure there will be some fireworks too, as evidenced by the Laperriere attack on Gaborik. The message was sent, and I'm sure it was recieved by the Wild. Should be some great hockey the next couple of weeks.

Here is the schedule with national TV listings:

Quote:
Wed. April 9, 2008 9:00 PM Colorado at Minnesota
Fri. April 11, 2008 9:00 PM Colorado at Minnesota VERSUS (JIP)
Mon., April 14, 2008 10:00 PM Minnesota at Colorado VERSUS
Tues., April 15, 2008 10:00 PM Minnesota at Colorado VERSUS
Thurs., April 17, 2008 9:00 PM Colorado at Minnesota
Sat., April 19, 2008 TBD Minnesota at Colorado VERSUS
Tues., April 22, 2008 TBD Colorado at Minnesota
No local TV schedule up yet, though hopefully everyone in Minnesota and the surrounding areas should be able to see every game (Channel 45 sucks)

Looks like we are getting a little more national coverage unlike last year when I don't think one game was on either VS. or NBC. Though still we will be the most ignored series.

Well, that's because of the teams. Colorado is one of the most popular hockey teams out there due to their past success, and our hockey market is emerging immensely, ad that's why we're getting more coverage.

Also, the most ignored series will easily be Anaheim-Dallas.

I remember I couldn't watch some of the games last year at my dorm, channel 45 let me down. I was so mad (not that we did very well anyway hah)

Looks like the news media in Denver is already starting the trash talk. This is from a blog by a clown named Adrian Dater.

http://blogs.denverpost.com/avs/2008...n-this-series/

Quote:
I got a pretty hard chuckle tonight when reading the quote from Minnesota Wild goon Derek Boogaard, talking about how, like, for sure he’ll be in the first game of the upcoming Avs-Wild playoff series and, you know, we’ll see how much guys like Ian Laperriere want to try stuff on Marian “He’s ugly, but he’s good” Gaborik.

The guy with the girl’s first name but a drowned rat’s face and hair showed some spunk tonight, dropping the gloves with Lappy at the end of overtime over a previous slight. All that got Marian was a punched up face and a dinged up right hand, which was wrapped in white gauze as he exited the Pepsi Center tonight.

But for Boogaard to proclaim that
a) For sure he’ll be in the lineup in Game 1 and
b) He’ll scare anybody on the Avs

Is pretty comical.
Seriously they pay this guy to write for them.

Send a message via Yahoo to aylib
Russo PWNS A. Dater.

I've never been more confident prior to a playoff series than I am now.

Yeah Dater is crazy, I mean he picked the Wild to win the series:

"They might very well beat the Avs in this series - in fact, I’ll probably pick them to win it."

I want to see Boogaard make Forsberg cry in the first game. That would be...beautiful.

I predict that the Wild end this series quick. 4-1. Colorado is going to be completely dominated physically by Boogaard/Fedoruk/Simon/Voros.

Wth was that? I want Boogaard to kick the crap out of this dude.

And this is stupid but can I just say that Marian is NOT ugly. I'm a girl so let me be the judge, Dater.
