Stick extension?

I dno't know if I heard this right or not, but someone told me you can add an extension onto composite sticks? I bought my first one last week, I was at Canadian Tire looking for a Jagr Koho Torpedo stick, didn't like what they have left so I bought the cheap ($70) Composite version. While it's at the proper 'under the chin' height I prefer to play with an extra two inches, the shorter composite stick really threw my game off when I used it. If I could make it bigger that would be great.

Yeah you can buy plugs anywhere from an inch to half a foot. You can buy the big ones and then just cut to fit. You can also buy graphite plugs but I don't really think they'll give you anymore performance.

You just stick the blade in the top as you would normally put in a replacement blade.

They increase the stick weight since plug is just a piece of pine. Balance is effected as well for the same reason.
Also as stick gets longer its flex increases (the number goes down). Some players that would like their stick down to 60 flex buy the intermediate stick at , say, 75 and extend it like 3 to 4 " to senior size getting actual flex 62-64..

stick to the cheap wood then! i kept breaking the softer extensions...the ones you buy, and my dad made a few hard wood ones and i've had the same one in for over a year. the balance is off a tiny amount, but i love the stick so i dont mind!
