Seems like the Hawks claimed Joakim Lindstrom off waivers from Anaheim. Still awaiting an official word.

Despite the best efforts of ex-Monkee Davey Jones, the Chicago Blackhawks defeat the Colorado Avalanche by a score of 7 to 4.

Dustin Byfuglien and Patrick Kane with three point nights (2 goals, 1 assist for Buff, 3 assists for Kaner).

Hawks win again 7-4 over the Avs (who were missing some of their regulars,Raycroft didn't have the best game again ) Byfuglien scores a Pair and Kane and Sharp appear to be in midseason form.

Word we got last night in London is Aliu is sidelined with a groin pull. He cannot be moved into another league until he gets clean bill of health from Hawks medical guys.

CHL- NHL agreement.

Groin strain ICL's can be a long process. When he gets a green light we should see something happen with Aliu. Play pro or back to London.

I'm really not sold on Havlat at the point, and I really like Byfuglien on the first PP parking right in front of the goalie...but yeah they are looking pretty good.

According to people who were hanging around the UC last night, Crawford, Carney, Aliu, Hjalmarsson, Brouwer, and Beach were seen all packed up.

Yeah none of those would surprise me outside of maybe Brouwer who has been pretty good.

How many games do you guys expect Eager to play this season? Will he be in the line-up most nights, or not?

yes he should be in the lineup most nights although he will miss the first few games due to a suspension.

If Khabibulin is moved, Kevyn Adams will be re-signed and the fourth line will be Burish Adams Adams with Eager as the 13th forward. In that scenario (most likely, imo), Eager plays 30 games or so.

Seeing as how he was cut, he obviously wasn't great, but how did Carney look? Terrible, or just too anonymous to justify the minimum contract for a player with his experience? Any chance a team that runs into injury problems might give him a call at some point this season(sort of like how Yanic Perreault has been hanging around the past couple of years)?
