My favourites were Fergy on Ted Green in the playoffs, 71?, Kordic & Jay Miller their first 4 or 5 tilts and Mario Roberge on Darin Kimble when he was with the Bruins. Roberge could throw em.
Roberge wasn't a hockey player who could fight, more a fighter who played hockey. Tough though.

When high speed finally hit our rural area a few weeks ago, me the pacifist, immediately started searching for old hockey fights and came up with Terry O'Reilly fighting Frank Mahovlich. Poor Frank. Someone should've mentionned that O'Reilly was a lefty.

That fight was just early preparation for him joining the senate.
Watching O'Reilly fight at times you would swear he had 3 hands.

O'Reilly was like Nilan, he couldn't just lose a fight. If they lost, next shift they'd try again, they must have thought the aura would be gone if they ever got beat.

C'mon le sean, I'm tired of playing Henry Kiisinger and I want to go fall asleep on the couch watching the late game.

Seems like he's not interested. Too bad, like I said, I was developing a bit of respect for you folks. One bad apple can indeed often spoil the bunch.

Cheers.

Cause you make it sound like internet Habs fan earning your respect is such an important thing. I don't think I need to explain the context of why it's so ridiculous.

I thought it would be nice to retain some measrure of respect for each other even though we're bitter rivals. While it may not be important to you, its an indication to me that I'm not acting like a jack ass. Something that does matter to me regardless of the medium.

this is the part of the playoffs and HF boards i hate and why i usually stay away, but i suppsoe you want to claim this type of play doesn tgo both ways??

please guys, your smarter than this... grow up a bit.

you got anything tp back this up with?

right....

was it him laying Komisarek out with thatg beautiful hit or the goal he scored that makes you think that?

So kimisarek can board people and its clean, but if Lucic does something its dirty....

so if thats how you think, do you have the stones to admit that Begins dirty?
Yo Troll, go back to your board. Don't come into a 5 page conversation and try to reply to everyone on the site cause your big bad boston bruin is getting **** all over.

I'm not talking about boardings or cheap shots, I could point out 20 per game. This post was originally meant for the topic of TARGETING INJURIES.

Now go back to your board and celebrate your lone victory, you might not get another till next year.

Coach Carbonneau Likes Lucic

Here is a Boston Globe article about Milan Lucic you might want to read. Please note especially the comments by Montreal coach Guy Carbonneau. It seems that he has a much more favorable opinion of Lucic than many of the esteemed posters in this thread. He might know a bit more about hockey also.

"He's been their best player by a long shot," Canadiens coach Guy Carbonneau noted after the Habs skated yesterday at the Garden. "He's played really well. I like the way he plays. He's physical, he's got good speed, he gets involved. Nothing dirty. I really enjoy watching him."

Globe story: http://www.boston.com/sports/hockey/...ence_big_bump/
