Boston Globe Article... ***GOOD READ***

They clearly had the look of a beaten bunch
By Kevin Paul Dupont
Boston Globe Staff / April 11, 2008

Quote:
MONTREAL - It's time to adjust, in a hurry, because the flat tire the Bruins hitched to their postseason bandwagon last night isn't taking them anywhere but straight to the ditch.

There are beatings, and then there are total, all-out William Bendix what-a-revoltin'-development-this-is BEATINGS, such as the one the Bruins suffered inside Bell Centre. They came out tentatively, summarily had a pair of Kostitsyn goals (No. 1 Sergei, No. 2 Andrei) jammed into their net, then spent most of the remaining 57-plus minutes chasing the Canadiens without ever coming close to catching them.

I got a real kick out of this one. At least some Bruin scribes have a sense of humor.

"In fact, the Habs **(they really meant bruins)had so little space with which to operate, they may start pushing for international sized rinks in the off-season."

What about this beauty, Boston reporter complaining that the refs let everything go.

No complaints Habs_46 the articles were great. I don't think we are allowed to copy and paste full articles *copy right reasons*. I just don't want to see you getting in trouble after your fine contribution.

"Montrealís Roman Hamrlik was the No. 1 offender all night, protecting his net with a wide variety of cross-checks, hooks and cheap shots. Incredibly, given the way he played, Hamrlik didnít get a penalty all night, not even when he ran Lucic along the end boards."

Wow.....And I thought we were the whiners....

I really like these articles. I really felt bad for Thomas all game long and I'm glad that the Boston press didn't rip him to shreds. It wasn't his fault the lost. The Canadiens just outplayed the entire team and Boston just couldn't get their bearings at all... That said, GO HABS.

That one made me laugh. Lucic saying Hamrlik's hit was an Elbow + Charging

EDIT: just watched the replay of the hit. It could've been an elbow, it's hard to tell, the camera wasn't at the best position, plus it went really fast.

Would he rather of had the refs call the game like the morons who called the Calgary/San Jose game last night? That was brutal.

I particularly enjoyed the Dupont article.
Let's hope it continues.

how can Lucie say something like that, he didn't even see Hamrlik coming... or if he saw him coming and didn't tried to protect himself better, he's just dumb...

Agreed, this game's referees were the utlimate suckage. All those diving really paid well for the Sharks...

Maybe the Bruins should start diving ?

Those Bruins fans swear that we will get outhit, out grind, and all our small soft european players will fall into the ice crying... they haven't learned their lesson in 02 and 04: heart matters more than size... and this year we have size too

Lucie did take a few shots to the head this year.

What's she crying about, doesn't she take runs from the blue line to go hit others in the corners. I'm sure she did during the season to take runs at Komisarek.

He will be that elite tough-guy-who-can-score. Better than Neil and the usual gang of players whose names get thrown around whenever we talk about the need for an enforcer who can take a regular shift on the 3rd or even 2nd line. I'd love to see him with the Habs, but while I watch the playoffs, I suppose I'll be a good fan and pretend to hate him and call him Lucie or whatever.

If Bell's hit on Alfie was considered a clean legal hit, I don't see how Hamrlik was a ''questionable hit'' as Lucic puts it.

We've had horrible refereeing games all year long(as usual the ones in Toronto), yesterday certainly wasn't one.

Its too bad this journalist started complaining about the refs because before that his article was spot on.
Its kind of very weak. He says Habs were much much superior than the Bruins, on every facet of the game. But ends by complaining about the refs..
weak.

He said he was a wimp because Lucic said Hamrlik's hit was a charge+elbow, which is ridiculous.
Didn't he give a crosscheck on Komi's hip late in the game?..Why would you do that..im trying to understand..
