Playoff fever baby! Our boys are looking pretty good at the starting gate.
I've been reading/hearing a lot of folks complaining about "Olay, Olay". I can't say I'm a huge fan of that chant either. So I wrote/recorded an anthemic, VERY traditional sounding chant for the Bell Centre. It's pretty simple and sounds Montrealish if that makes any sense.
I think it'd sound cool with 21,000+ fans singing it? Words on the screen type of thing? I dunno. Thought i'd share it with my buddies here.

I just say we ALL start singing "Don't Stop Beleiving"
Imagine 21 000 + singing
Working hard to get my fill,
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin anything to roll the dice,
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
Dont stop believin
Hold on to the feelin
i was thinking of something like the chant of the aviron bayonnais in the french rugby championship. sounds like a real song to support a war-like game. would be really intimidating singed by 21 000 angry fans
your gonna need someone with a big drum to get that one started in the crowd..and the words on the jumbotron
Or people can stomp their feet/bang their chairs. They can get the MSO to do it! lol! The thumping in my version is me putting my computer mic on the floor and stomping my foot-added reverb et voila. The words wld have to be up on the screen at first for sure. Anyway, no pipe dreams here-just having some fun. I went for something timeless that sounded like a chant you'd hear in arena type of thing.
yeah, Le Tricolore...sounds very Irish. Another thing is, you won't get fans chanting it in other buildings because of all the anglo Hab fans that can't remember the lyrics.
Good attempt, though.
The song isn't bad, except for the word Tricouleur, but I believe that a french song could work out well if the Organization puts up the lyrics on the main board a few times so that people can remember the lyrics .
