Thomas is balancing out how Price saved our bacon in game 2. Remember, aim five hole! This series is very reminiscent of the Isles-Sabres last year when NYI just wouldn't go away despite losing in 5. Plus, those refs have to be scared if they call anything minor after the outburst of disapproval everyone had after game 2. So it's going to take something really blatant I figure.
It's getting really worrisome to have our bottom six be the better forwards again...
And to think, this was our worry going in; the WEAKNESS of our bottom six. The few times all year where we've had all four lines working, we've dominated. There may not be a team who can beat us when our four lines all play like this. Of course, that doesn't quite happen often enough or we'd be up where Detroit was by the end of the season.
If the Habs had played like this in the first 60, this game would have been an easy win.
Man, their urgency always comes on strong at the end but lately they've been waiting for the 4th period to get anything substantial done. Game 1 gave them a false sense of superiority. Guys, the entire playoffs will not be as simple as game 1 seemed.
